Requirements:

  • Identify delivery problems, develop solutions, and improve transportation service levels.
  • Lead and coordinate logistics activities including warehousing, shipping, and transport to ensure efficiency and compliance with legal and quality requirements.
  • Manage inventory replenishment for the assigned region, monitor inventory levels, shelf life, and related parameters.
  • Place purchase orders and oversee procurement, coordinate with factories and suppliers, and manage invoicing and costs for transport and customs.

As global leader in coatings and paints, we are seeking for you, a proactive Logistic Coordinator who wants to build an exciting and solid career in Hempel our expert Logistic department at Hempel.

This position offers you the window to actively participate in refining our process management systems. You will work alongside our Logistics Manager for South-East Europe, be based in Turkey and collaborate with our factories and a diverse team of colleagues worldwide.

You will have the opportunity to focus on identifying delivery problems, solutions, and improvement of transportation service levels. You have solid experience in leading and engaging the logistics team to plan, direct and control all related logistics activities such as warehousing processes, shipping and transport status in the required way to ensure process efficiency on time and in accordance with legal and qualitative requirements.

Moreover, you can look forward to:

  • Handling inventory replenishment for the assigned region, deliveries, and warehouses
  • Maintaining and analyzing inventory parameters and data, including quality, unhealthy stock, goods shelf life, inventory levels, coverage groups, ROP and/or minimum stock levels
  • Placing purchase orders in the system, as well as supervising and coordinating the purchase of goods
  • Working in close cooperation with our factories
  • Supervising and coordinating the supply of goods to customers and other warehouses (internal and external sales)
  • Managing invoicing and monitoring financial reserves for transport and customs costs
  • Close cooperation with customs brokers to follow up import transactions and ensure the customs clearance progress smoothly
  • Submitting application to Ministry of Labor for ISGUM as per guidelines
  • Prioritizing and assigning tasks to ensure effective use of resources and achievement of work schedules and targets

  • A background in Logistics/Supply Chain education is advantageous.
  • Experience in inventory replenishment and management, warehousing processes, purchasing, shipping, and transport are required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and the Dynamix system, with knowledge of Quality Management Systems being a plus.
  • Practical knowledge of ERP systems
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders in an international environment.
  • Strong communication skills in Turkish and English, Other languages would be an advantage.
