  • Effective relationship-building skills
  • Experience with project management practices including creating project plans, schedules, risk identification/mitigation, and coordinating cross-functional teams (PMBOK-aligned)
  • Project Management Certification (PMP) preferred; experience with PM tools, risk mitigation, and predictive/hybrid/agile methodologies.

Requirements:

  • Manage all aspects of small projects or phases of larger projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closing.
  • Coordinate the activities of a project team under the direction of a Project Manager III or IV; develop schedules, milestones, and communicate with stakeholders; identify and mitigate risks.
  • Ensure project scope and quality are met and contribute to strategic plans; prepare and complete action plans; manage changes as needed.
  • Monitor financial aspects by participating in forecasting, budgeting, and analyzing variances to initiate corrective actions.

As Project Manager II, you will initiate, plan, execute, control and close cross-functional projects related to Education’s technology and operations strategy. Using project management methodologies and tools found in the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK), including Waterfall, Hybrid and KanBan, you will create project plans, develop schedules and milestones, communication with stakeholders and identify and mitigate risks associated with complex technology projects. In collaboration with the Project Manager IV, you will provide guidance to the project team to ensure project scope and quality are met and to remove any barriers that arise throughout the project lifecycle. 

This position offers the opportunity to work with every service line within the Education, providing numerous avenues to hone your skills and seek professional development. 

A caregiver in this role works days from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (flexible start/end times) 

After the new-hire period, caregivers may work four days on-site and one day remote, with required on-site attendance on Tuesdays and Thursdays. 

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

  • Manage all aspects of small projects or phases of larger projects. 

  • Coordinate the activities of a project team under the direction of a Project Manager III or IV. 

  • Achieve operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews. 

  • Prepare and complete action plans.  

  • Implement production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards. 

  • Resolve problems. 

  • Completes audits and identify trends. 

  • Determine system improvements and implement changes. 

  • Meet financial objectives by participating in developing forecasting requirements. 

  • Participate in preparing an annual budget and scheduling expenditures. 

  • Analyze variances and initiate corrective actions. 

  • Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders. 

  • Enhance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests. 

  • Explore opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. 

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a related field and three years of experience coordinating or managing various projects

  • OR High School Diploma/GED and seven years of experience

  • OR Associate’s Degree and five years of experience

  • OR Master’s Degree and two years of experience 

  • Effective relationship building skills 

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • Project Management Certification (PMP)

  • Experience working in project management, specifically with project documentation, planning, executing, monitoring/controlling and closing

  • Experience in project management systems

  • Served as a system owner in a previous role

  • Experience with project risk mitigation strategies

  • Knowledge of all five project process groups

  • Familiar with predictive, hybrid and agile project methodologies

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods

  • Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment

  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information

  • Ability to travel throughout the hospital system

  • Must have own transportation to travel to multiple sites.
