Requirements:

  • Lead end-to-end process improvement initiatives: identify inefficiencies and manual work, redesign processes, and ensure adoption across teams including Practice Administrator, Clinical Operations Specialists, and Product teams; deliver measurable impact
  • Partner cross-functionally with Practice Administrator, Workforce Management, Patient Support Experience, and Product/Engineering teams to define operational challenges, implement process changes, and align product requirements; define data-driven success metrics and measure impact
  • Define and track success metrics; analyze operational data to identify trends and opportunities, build business cases, measure post-implementation results, and present actionable insights to leadership to drive continuous improvement

Senior Manager, Clinical Operations - Operational Excellence @ Midi Health 

We are seeking a Senior Manager, Clinical Operations – Process Improvement & Operational Excellence to drive meaningful improvements across clinical operations workflows, systems, and experiences. This role operates at the intersection of operations, data, and product. You will partner closely with the Practice Administrator to operationalize defined strategic priorities, translating them into scalable processes, identifying inefficiencies, and executing initiatives that improve patient experience, clinical support (Medical Assistants/back-office) workflows, and clinician experience. This role will focus on improving clinical support and back-office workflows, where operational complexity, manual work, and inefficiencies have the greatest impact on scalability, staff experience, and overall performance. This is a senior individual contributor role. You will not manage people or set a strategy. Instead, you will serve as a structured executor and operational problem-solver, owning execution within prioritized areas and driving measurable impact.

Operationalize Strategic Priorities

  • Partner with the Practice Administrator to understand team and organizational priorities
  • Translate defined priorities into structured workflows, processes, and execution plans
  • Break down ambiguous problems into clear, actionable steps

Process Improvement & Optimization

  • Evaluate workflows within prioritized areas to identify:
    • Inefficiencies
    • Failure points
    • Manual or redundant work
    • Unclear ownership
  • Redesign processes to improve:
    • Patient experience (e.g., transparency, access, communication)
    • Clinical support and back-office workflows (e.g., MA workflows, inbox management, task routing, reduced manual work)
    • Clinician experience (e.g., reduced friction, clearer workflows)
    • Operational efficiency
  • Focus on areas where operational complexity and manual effort create the greatest impact on scalability, staff experience, and consistency of execution
  • Execute defined improvements and ensure adoption across teams

Cross-Functional Execution

  • Partner with:
    • Practice Manager
    • Clinical Operations Specialists
    • Practice Administration Workforce Management team
    • Patient Support & Experience
    • Product team
  • Translate defined operational challenges into:
    • Process improvements
    • Workflow changes
    • Product requirements

Data Analysis & Impact Measurement

  • Analyze operational data to:
    • Identify trends and improvement opportunities
    • Support business cases
    • Measure the impact of the change
  • Define success metrics for each defined initiative, including:
    • Baseline performance
    • Expected outcomes
    • Post-implementation results
  • Present clear, actionable insights to leadership

Initiative Execution

  • Lead execution of prioritized initiatives from scoping through implementation
  • Ensure alignment with defined team and organizational priorities
  • Monitor performance and iterate as needed
  • Drive sustainable adoption of improvements

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify recurring patterns that indicate:
    • Process gaps
    • Workflow inefficiencies
    • Tooling limitations
  • Recommend improvements aligned with strategic priorities
  • Contribute to a culture of operational excellence

Operating Model & Expectations

  • Work is prioritized and aligned through quarterly planning led by the Practice Administrator
  • All initiatives must have:
    • Clearly defined goals
    • Measurable success metrics
    • Baseline vs post-implementation comparison
    • Identified stakeholders
  • This role is responsible for:
    • Structuring and executing within defined priorities
    • Surfacing insights and recommendations
  • This role is not responsible for setting team or organizational strategy
  • Ad hoc requests are evaluated against priorities and may be deferred Practice Administrator (direct manager)

What you will need to succeed: 🌱 

  • 5–8+ years in healthcare operations, clinical operations, or similar
  • Experience in process improvement or operational optimization
  • Strong problem-solving and structured thinking
  • Advanced Google Sheets proficiency
  • Experience with EMRs (Athena preferred)
  • Familiarity with BI tools (QuickSight, Tableau, Power BI)
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management
  • Telehealth or high-growth healthcare experience (preferred)
  • Experience working closely with Product/Engineering teams (preferred)
  • Familiarity with Lean / process improvement methodologies (preferred)

  • The compensation range for this role is $130,000-150,000 annually.
