Job description

👋 Who are we?

Nordhealth (OB:NORDH) is the leading provider of cloud-based Practice Information Management Software (PIMS) to veterinary and therapy professionals.

Over the last three years, we have grown our Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) and team size by almost 10x. It’s been an exciting growth journey so far and we are just getting started. Our mission is to enable healthcare professionals to deliver better patient care through software, with a goal to help serve over 200 million patients by 2030. In support of this growth mission, in May 2021, Nordhealth raised €120M through a public-listing on Euronext Growth Oslo stock exchange.

Nordhealth is a remote-first company, headquartered in Helsinki, Finland. Our 430+ employees work either remotely or from offices/collaboration hubs. While our market presence is currently strongest in the Nordics, our customer base is rapidly growing in North America and Europe, with clients in the US, UK, Spain and many others. About the role

We are here to create great healthcare products. That’s at our very core, but it’s the people who make companies great, not the other way around. We spend more time with our co-workers than anyone else in our lives. Being part of an exceptional team is not only important for your personal mindfulness but key for your professional progression.

We’re now looking for a Documentation Specialist to support our growth and join our Support/Documentation team! The Documentation Specialist is responsible for creating, maintaining, and improving product documentation that enables customers and internal teams to successfully use our products without requiring additional support. This role contributes directly to improving the self-service experience, reducing support demand, and ensuring documentation is accurate, clear, and aligned with real product workflows. The role requires a high level of autonomy, accountability, and the ability to take full ownership of documentation quality, structure, and consistency across the product.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Take ownership of your documentation work, driving it through to completion and ensuring it is accurate, complete, and clear

  • Create and maintain high-quality documentation in line with product changes and releases

  • Identify gaps, outdated content, and areas for improvement, and continuously improve documentation structure, clarity, and consistency using feedback and usage data

  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Support to gather and validate information, ensuring documentation is accurate and up to date

  • Coordinate and support the translation of end-user documentation

  • Participate in peer reviews and contribute to maintaining consistent, high-quality documentation standards

Success factors

  • Demonstrates strong ownership and accountability for documentation outcomes, with the ability to work independently and take initiative

  • Produces clear, accurate, and well-structured documentation that enables users to find answers independently

  • Proactively identifies gaps and continuously improves documentation quality, structure, and consistency

  • Understands user needs and creates content that is practical, usable, and aligned with real-world scenarios

Key challenges & expectations (first 12 months)

  • Taking ownership of your documentation work, including identifying gaps, improving outdated content, and contributing to clear structure and consistent standards

  • Improving documentation quality while keeping pace with ongoing product changes and releases

  • Managing and prioritizing work effectively in a dynamic environment with multiple competing documentation needs

  • Building strong collaboration with Product, Engineering, and Support to ensure documentation reflects real product workflows

  • Ensuring consistency and alignment across documentation created by different contributors, including structure, terminology, and quality standards

What will help you to be successful in this role?

Required:

  • Relevant academic background in technical communication, documentation, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience

  • Good understanding of documentation processes and tools

  • Experience with or exposure to translation and localisation workflows

  • A good understanding of how to use AI to improve efficiency and workflows.

  • Proven ability to manage priorities, work independently, and take ownership of tasks from assignment through to completion

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

  • Proactive and collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across teams

Desired (but not required):

  • Experience with Paligo and/or Crowdin

  • Familiarity with veterinary terminology or experience working in a veterinary or healthcare environment
