Roles & Responsibilities

Requirements:

  • Provides clinical and technical support to end-users, healthcare professionals and patients where required, including case support, product demonstrations, installations, and maintenance of company products
  • Provides follow-up technical support and information on specific applications to sales staff and customers as needed
  • Conducts on-site education and consulting and supports establishment and maintenance of customer relations with healthcare professionals and organizations
  • Weekly coordination and collaboration with Sales Representatives to ensure smooth adoption of Medtronic technology

The role is opened to continue our daily milestone in serving our patients & partners and give them the highest level of support & partnership which is aligned with our daily mission to alleviate pain, restore health, and extend life. For this role, you will be expected to be located in KZN Durban and actively offer clinical/case support as and where needed. This role will have active travel requirements nationally.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Provides clinical and technical support to end-users, associated Healthcare Professionals and patients where required
  • Provides clinical and technical expertise through case support, product demonstrations, installations, and maintenance of company products
  • Provide follow-up support to company sales staff and customer personnel by providing technical support and information on specific applications, where/as needed 
  • Conducts on-site education and consulting and supports establishment and maintenance of customer relations with healthcare professionals and organizations
  • Weekly coordination and collaboration with Sales Representatives to ensure smooth adoption of Medtronic technology 
  • Area of accountability would be product/disease focus, linked to the Operating Unit you are responsible for 
  • Focus on clinically driven accounts with a need for onsite support
  • Management of consignment inventory in allocated accounts as per SOP for specific OU’s assigned to you 
  • Ensure compliance with internal training, use of Customer Relations Management Tools – SFDC, activity scheduling. 

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience in Trauma, Orthopedics or Medical device Industry (working in operating theatre)
  • Medical background and experience in the surgical field
  • Positive attitude and well spoken
  • Ability to safely lift and handle equipment weighing up to 15 kilograms as required for clinical support activities
  • Be able to work overtime/weekends where needed
  • Be able to travel outside region to assist with case support.
