About the Role

The Providencia Group is searching for new trainers to enhance the skill development of a diverse workforce supporting a variety of contracts and projects. As the company increases the scope of workforce services, the training team will be positioned to meet new needs, working with subject matter experts and outside resources to develop training material and curriculums. Trainers then deliver courses and materials to all levels of staff and provide feedback to the training participants.

The Trainer will collaborate across the organization to deliver training and technical assistance to a nationwide decentralized workforce. The trainer will be assigned a primary project but will also support other contracts and projects as needed. Trainers must act as an ongoing resource to staff to continually build and improve skills that enhance services. Training is delivered primarily through virtual and hybrid sessions. It is essential to have the skills to deliver high quality training in a fast-paced work environment.

What You’ll Do

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead individual or group instruction of adult learners for up to 8 hours per day.
  • Facilitate training sessions and activities primarily through Virtual Instructor Led Training (VILT).
  • Update training material(s), working with instructional design and project management staff.
  • Assist with creating content, collecting data, and evaluating training effectiveness.
  • Support training scheduling, tracking, and records maintenance.
  • Provide voice recordings for on-demand course creation.
  • Travel to training sites for in-person delivery, if requested
  • Other duties, as assigned.

What we’re looking for

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in case management, mental health, or medical services, particularly with vulnerable populations
  • 2+ years of experience in a trainer role with adult learners
  • Outstanding presentation skills
  • Strong skills using technology to create and deliver trainings, including facilitating activities, discussions and managing submission/evaluation of written assignments.
  • Strong speaking skills in English, including fluency, accuracy, and pronunciation.
  • Strong writing skills in English, including spelling, grammar, and editing.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish a plus, but other language proficiencies also desired.

The Work Environment

Currently, primarily remote work but must be prepared for onsite work. If working remotely in a home environment, must have a dedicated workspace conducive to full videoconferencing (camera and audio) for facilitating webinars and online discussions.

Work Schedule

Varies depending on needs. May include travel, evenings, and weekends to meet different time zones and projects.

Physical Demands - To perform the essential functions of the job, qualified candidates must be able to perform the following: speaking clearly for up to 8 or more hours per day, reaching, grasping, hearing/listening, seeing/observing, mobility to walk for extended periods of time, run, carry, load and unload luggage. Position does require the ability to read written documentation from a computer screen throughout the workday, the ability to type substantial amounts of work in the course of the workday, the ability to visually monitor dozens of participants onscreen, stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods of time, and drive vehicles, (alert/vigilant of surroundings) for extended periods of time.
