Roles & Responsibilities

  • Installation, configuration, administration, support and maintenance of computer systems and hardware; ensure performance and resource availability
  • Provide on-site support and respond to client queries (including after-hours); troubleshoot issues and document field activities
  • Network maintenance and troubleshooting: monitor WAN/LAN, identify and resolve network problems, and upgrade hardware, software and telecommunications equipment
  • Educate client personnel on product operation and maintenance; coordinate with contractors for facility support; prepare timely service reports

***IMPORTANT & MANDATORY***

Based on the on-site support responsibilities this position requires, candidates must reside in Monterrey, Nuevo León.

 

Candidates residing in states other than the mentioned above will not be considered.

Site Support Engineer assist clients in solving technical issues. Job tasks include the following responsibilities:


Provide On-Site Support
A Field Support Engineer must respond to all client queries. This position may require working after hours as well as a presence on-site as required. The professional collaborates with other network professionals in the organization to devise suggestions for expediting maintenance and troubleshooting procedures. They document all relevant departmental and field activities and resolve the complexities.


Network Maintenance
They engage in routine maintenance checkup as well. Keeping the network up and running.


Troubleshooting and Debugging
Engineers confer with customers in initial deployment troubleshooting, as well as in initial debugging of new hardware and software. They must have a good understanding of Ethernet and wireless networks. Engineers should consult all relevant documentation of the client network topology when making troubleshooting decisions.

Operation & Maintenance
Site Support Engineer offers guidance and training to the client personnel.  It is their duty to educate them about the product operation and maintenance procedures. The professionals also coordinate with the contractors for any necessary facility support. They must analyze issues and prepare service report in a timely manner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
•  Installation, configuration, administration, support and maintenance of computer systems and hardware.
•  Activities could include ensuring the performance and resource availability of computers and other IT systems.
•  Matching the organisation's resources to the demand placed on them.
•  Monitoring the performance of the organisation's wide area and/or local area network.
•  Identify and resolve network problems.
•  Upgrading network hardware, software and telecommunications equipment

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
•  3 years of experience required
•  This role is mainly in field
•  Engineer in Electronics, Communications and Electronics, Computers and related
•  Technical support in the field
•  Knowledge of networks 
•  Structured cabling 
•  Device configuration (diagnostics, hardware and software repair, laptops, printers, multifunctional, tablets, iPads etc...)
•  Preferably experience with Zebra brand equipment (printers, scanners, mobile computers)
•  Availability to travel occasionally in the interior of the republic
•  Valid driver's license
•  Dealing with users
•  Know how to drive a standard car 
•  Know how to work under pressure
•  Availability of schedule and weekends.
