Roles & Responsibilities

  • Bilingual Khmer-English interpreter with ability to provide remote interpretation; must reside in Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, or Cambodia.
  • Stable wired internet connection meeting minimum speeds: download at least 5 Mbps, upload at least 3 Mbps, with ping ≤ 50 ms and jitter ≤ 30 ms; wired (cable modem or fiber), no broadband/mobile data.
  • Own a laptop/PC/Macbook/Chromebook with webcam; operating systems: Windows 11 (version 23H2) or MacOS 12+ or ChromeOS current; antivirus and browser updated; no Kaspersky.
  • Own a mobile phone for operational backup (Android 13+ or iOS 16+).

Requirements:

  • Provide Khmer-English interpretation remotely during assigned shifts, following a rotational night-shift schedule set by the operations team.
  • Complete onboarding assessments and training: English AMCAT assessment and Native Language eLPT; participate in 3 weeks daytime shift training followed by 4 weeks night shift training.
  • Adhere to company procedures and quality standards, maintain confidentiality, and obtain team-leader approval for overtime as needed.
  • Coordinate with the operations team to ensure timely delivery of interpretation services and report any technical issues with equipment or internet.

Job description

SOURCING INTERPRETERS : (KHMER <> English Language)

Location: Work from Home (Home Based/Remotely) only hiring from Malaysia/Thailand/Vietnam/Cambodia

12-month Contract (renewable subject to performance) Full-Time Position

Working Arrangement:

Working days: 5 – 6 working days

Working Time: Malaysia Time starts anytime from 8pm/9pm/10pm/11pm/12am

Working Hours: Rotational Night Shift (It will be scheduled by the operation team, and it is mandatory to follow schedule set; cannot choose your shift timing)

TRAINING HOURS

  • First 3 weeks: Day time shift
  • Next 4 weeks: Night shift

  3. Training (3 + 4 weeks)
  4. Operation

Requirements

Job Requirement:

1. Internet - Need to have a Cable-Modem or Fiber Optic WIFI (NO Broadband or Mobile Data)

Internet requirements:

  • Download > 5 Mbps
  • Upload > 3 Mbps
  • Ping < 50 Mbps
  • Jitter < 30 Mbps
  • Internet Speed Test : Speedtest (llsapi.com)

  • Windows: Windows 11 version 23H2

3. Mobile Phone [use your own device] - for operation purpose (for backup)

  • Only Android 13 and above or IOS 16 and above
  • (NO Huawei, Samsung A Series, iPad C Tablets, iPhone 6 and below)

Benefits

Salary Package:

Monthly Starting from RM4,800/ RM 30(hour) + OT Pay

*Candidates will first need to fulfill the hours that they need to produce first. If

they want to do OT, they need to request for team leader approval first, once

approved then can do OT.
