Role: Data Architect
Location: Portugal, Remote
Required Skills:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in data architecture and/or data engineering with hands-on work on modern data platforms
- Strong experience implementing Databricks solutions, including Delta Lake and data governance (e.g., Unity Catalog)
- Deep knowledge of Lakehouse architectures, data warehousing, streaming and batch processing, performance tuning, and cost optimization in distributed environments
- Expertise in data governance and security patterns at scale
- Experience designing solutions on at least one major cloud platform (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and integrating with cloud-native services
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; able to lead architecture discussions with IT and business teams
- Proactive, structured problem-solving with entrepreneurial mindset and ownership in ambiguous environments
- Fluent in Portuguese and English (spoken and written)
- Databricks certification(s) and experience with Unity Catalog operating models
