Description
Position at Vaniam Group
Director, Product Development
What You'll Do
As Vaniam Group continues to grow and evolve our service offerings, the Director of Product Development will play a high-impact, cross-functional role for a strategic thinker and doer who can own a portfolio of products from concept to delivery — bridging the worlds of business strategy, client needs, and technical execution. You will serve as the connective tissue between our business leaders and technical and delivery teams — defining vision, driving roadmaps, and making sure the right things get built at the right time. This is an individual contributor role to start, with a clear path to build and lead a team as the function matures.
A Day in the Life

Build and maintain detailed, prioritized product roadmaps that balance short-term client commitments with long-term product investment
Define product requirements, user stories, and success criteria in partnership with business stakeholders and technical leads
Drive cross-functional delivery by working closely with technology, creative, scientific, and operations teams to ensure on-time, high-quality releases
Monitor product performance post-launch and use data and client feedback to inform iteration and improvement
Work with Sales, Client Services, and Leadership to ensure Vaniam Intelligence capabilities are included in SOWs and review proposed elements for alignment with pricing and client value
Internal Responsibility
Serve as the primary product liaison between business development, client services, and technical delivery teams
Facilitate alignment sessions, roadmap reviews, and product steering conversations with senior leaders and key clients
Communicate product status, risks, and decisions clearly and proactively to all stakeholders
Establish and continuously refine product development processes, frameworks, and tools that support a growing team
Introduce best practices in product management adapted for the unique context of a traditional service-led environment
Identify and implement ways to increase speed, quality, and consistency of product delivery
Lay the groundwork for scaling the Product Development function, including potential future team building
Business Development
Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and client discovery to identify opportunities for new or evolved products and services
Partner with senior leadership to prioritize investments and ensure the product portfolio delivers measurable business value
Translate complex, ambiguous business problems into clear product direction and executable plans
Champion a client-centric, outcomes-focused mindset across the organization
Other duties may be assigned to help drive deliverables within this role.
