  • Collaborate across global commercial, product line, and business development teams to align technical capabilities with commercial strategies, represent Danfoss at exhibitions and events, and support account planning and reporting

The Impact You'll Make

The Global Strategic Account Director expands Danfoss’s upstream influence with leading hyperscale cloud operators by positioning our thermal and power‑management solutions early in the data center design cycle.  By engaging senior technical and commercial stakeholders during concept and architecture phases, the role drives specification inclusion, platform adoption, and approved‑vendor status for Danfoss solutions across hyperscaler infrastructure programs.

 

A proactive hunter, this leader maps hyperscaler programs, ecosystem partners, and infrastructure build cycles to guide insight‑driven pursuit strategies and orchestrate coordinated engagement across Danfoss’s global commercial and business teams.  Operating within a matrixed organization, the role aligns internal stakeholders, enables cross‑segment collaboration, and establishes repeatable go‑to‑market patterns that accelerate Danfoss growth in the global data center market.

What You’ll Be Doing

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Relationship Development

    • Build and strengthen upstream strategic relationships with global hyperscale cloud operators.
    • Engage senior technical and commercial stakeholders early in the design cycle to secure specifications and approved vendor listings for Danfoss thermal and power‑management solutions.
  • Specification & Architecture Influence

    • Drive adoption of Danfoss solutions within hyperscaler reference architectures supporting next‑generation data center infrastructure.
    • Influence thermal and power architecture decisions to position Danfoss as a preferred technology partner.
  • Ecosystem Mapping & Positioning

    • Maintain deep understanding of the hyperscaler ecosystem, including CDU manufacturers, OEM partners, engineering consultants, and EPC firms.
    • Identify strategic points of entry where Danfoss solutions can be embedded into infrastructure programs.
  • Solution Orchestration

    • Surface unmet customer needs and frame problem statements.
    • Mobilize Danfoss subject matter experts to convert concepts into reference designs and industry standards.
  • Insight‑Driven Pursuit Strategies

    • Map influencers, programs, and build schedules to create targeted pursuit plans.
    • Coordinate engagement across the hyperscaler ecosystem to maximize impact.
  • Cross‑Segment Collaboration

    • Work closely with global commercial, product line, and business development teams to align technical capabilities, commercial strategies, and customer engagement.
    • Foster collaboration across segments to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Market Presence & Representation

    • Represent Danfoss at exhibitions, conferences, and networking events to strengthen brand visibility and customer relationships.
  • Strategic Account Planning & Reporting

    • Support leadership with account planning, pipeline visibility, and reporting on wins, losses, and market intelligence relevant to hyperscaler infrastructure development.

What We're Looking For

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum three years of industry experience in data center infrastructure, cooling, or thermal management.
  • Strong knowledge and network of data center stakeholders and key influencers preferred.
  • Proven experience in a technical solution selling role.

This is a remote position, ideally for someone located in the western part of the United States.  You'll be required to travel 50-75%, domestic and international travel.

 

Salary Range Disclaimer:  The base salary range represents the low and high end of the range for this position. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. The range for this position is $180,000 to $210,000.
