ITCON Services seeks a Junior Drupal Application Tester to conduct Quality Assurance activities to support the testing of complex Drupal-based websites. This is a 5-year contracted position at the U.S. House of Representatives where the preferred web platform is Drupal, with the majority of current websites on Drupal. The House manages these internal websites for 10,000+ House staff.
Job Description
Conduct Quality Assurance activities to support the testing of complex Drupal-based websites. Specifically, the analyst would need to Develop Test Strategies and Plans, test scripts for manual and automated testing, and support other testing activities and communications, engage external groups for testing in a coordinated effort, and introduce tools for performing tests and audits. In addition, the analyst would support the development of other project artifacts and documentation such as progress reports, analytics, data collections, schedules, and presentations as necessary. Provide support to the development team in debugging and fixing issues related to database, website, CMS development and/or configuration using technologies such as HTML5, JavaScript, CSS3, .Net, Drupal, SharePoint, Access, SQL, PHP, etc.
This position is fully remote; however, the candidate may occasionally be required to report on-site.
While U.S. citizenship is not a requirement for either position, all proposed candidates must legally reside within the United States at the time of award.
Responsibilities

Maintain professional relationships with customers, management, colleagues and deliver high-quality customer service
Supporting the Product team in testing sites, systems, and applications before client rollout
Evaluate and recommend various testing tools appropriate for the various technologies used in the House to define and generate automated, repeatable testing scripts
Assess quality of new features or new systems against Customer Experience, User Experience, and Accessibility
Document test results to support the efficient resolution of problems and to capture defect data.
Define repeatable testing strategies and documentation for concurrent and future testers; define automated testing strategies as possible
Execute tests to compare results with requirements, to identify defects, and to ensure compliance (e.g., systems, functionality, etc.)
Recreate identified defects to assist in the resolution process
Participate in defect management discussions with the Project Owners, Designers, and Developers to ensure defects are fixed in a timely manner and adequately tracked
Produce and communicate test result reports for Change Management process, and for a range of potential audiences (Managers, Developers, Product Owners, or Executives)
Conduct rapid smoke tests as part of an Agile development environment
Minimum Qualifications
2+ years of experience in QA testing of applications, web sites, and web applications
Experience with Drupal 10.x and 11.x environments
Experience with test plan creation, test case reviews, test execution, defect resolution and root cause analysis
For web application testing, knowledge with various technologies (any of the following: HTML5, JavaScript, CSS3, .Net, SharePoint, Access, SQL, PHP, etc.) desired
Preferred Candidate: 2 years of testing Drupal-based websites.
Preferred Candidate: Demonstrated expertise in Drupal content management testing, including experience with content types, taxonomies, and workflows
Preferred Candidate: Experience with Drupal module and theme testing, including understanding module dependencies and theme inheritance
