  • Update provider profiles with current information and confirm insurance plans and project-specific requirements.
  • Maintain confidentiality, adhere to privacy regulations, collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies, and provide regular progress reports to management.

DESCRIPTION
As a Healthcare Provider Directory Validation Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of healthcare provider directories. You will be responsible for contacting healthcare provider offices via phone calls to verify and update their information, including contact details, specialty areas, accepted Medicaid health plans, and other relevant data. Your meticulous attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and strong organizational abilities will contribute to capturing the data necessary to evaluate the provider network of each health plan. When not involved in provider directory validation activities, the Healthcare Provider Directory Validation Assistant may be required to provide administrative support on other analytic contracts.
 
Details regarding potential project assignments will be discussed with candidates during the interview process.
 
ESSENTIAL COMPETENCIES, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Serve as an integral part of HSAG Data Science & Advanced Analytics division.

• Contact healthcare provider offices by phone to validate and capture accurate directory information in HSAG’s database.
• Verify and record accurate contact details, including office phone numbers, addresses, and email addresses.
• Confirm and document healthcare providers' specialty areas, qualifications, and credentials.
• Validate information on accepted insurance plans, Medicaid participation, and any specific project requirements.
• Update provider profiles with accurate and current information in HSAG’s database.
• Address any questions or concerns raised by healthcare providers regarding the directory validation process.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to privacy regulations while handling sensitive provider information.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve any discrepancies or inconsistencies identified during the validation process.
• Follow established protocols and guidelines to ensure the accuracy and completeness of directory data.
• Provide regular progress reports to management, highlighting any challenges or trends observed during the validation calls.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in healthcare administration or a related field is a plus but not required.
