Job description

Job Title: Student Assistant 

Department: Counseling 

Reports To: Darlene Chen 

Location: Remote  
Employment Status: 5-10 hours/week; March 30, 2026– August 21, 2027 


Summary 

Assist with research projects and teaching tasks. 

Specific Duties and Responsibilities 

  1. Assist with quantitative and/or qualitative projects 
  2. Conduct literature review/annotated bibliography 
  3. Assist with survey creation 
  4. Collect and analyze data 
  5. Maintain accurate records safeguarding the confidentiality of subjects, as necessary 
  6. Assist in the preparation of manuscripts and presentations 
  7. Attend project meetings 
  8. Assist with various course preparation tasks

  • Need to be a current PAU student.
  • Proficient with APA writing 
  • Experience with Qualtrics and data analysis software 
  • Experience with IRB protocols and procedures preferred 
  • Familiarity with counseling-related research and courses preferred
