Roles & Responsibilities

ISO 17100-compliant translation qualifications (or equivalent) including a degree in translation, linguistics or language studies from a recognized institution (or equivalent training with significant translation experience)
Degree in any field with two years of full-time professional experience in translating
Five years of full-time professional experience in translating
Experience with CAT tools, specifically memoQ

Requirements:

Translate healthcare-related content from English (US) to Pashto, including patient education/information materials
Maintain translation quality and consistency in line with ISO 17100 standards
Utilize CAT tools (memoQ) for translation work and project workflow
Communicate and collaborate with the freelance translation team and meet deadlines

This is a remote position

We are currently looking for freelance translators:

Language combinations:

English (US) into Pashto

Specializations:

Healthcare
Patient Education/information

Specific knowledge ==> US market

Requirements
We must ensure we have reliable and experienced translators, then applicants must meet at least one of the following criteria (ISO 17100):

a) have obtained a degree in translation, linguistics or language studies or an equivalent degree that includes significant translation training, from a recognized institution of higher education;
b) have obtained a degree in any other field from a recognized institution of higher education and has the equivalent of two years of full-time professional experience in translating;
c) have the equivalent of five years of full-time professional experience in translating.

Other requirements:

- CAT tools experience (memoQ)
