As the PE Instructor and IEA Coach, you will lead by example as an active, competitive rider to inspire and develop a high-performing equestrian team. You are responsible for growing the program through expert technical instruction and a structured PE curriculum, while maintaining rigorous administrative oversight of IEA memberships, show logistics, and team communications to ensure a premier competitive experience.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
IEA Leadership: Lead the IEA team through expert technical instruction and strategic coaching. You will manage all "behind-the-scenes" logistics, including IEA memberships, show entries, and team communications.
PE Instruction: Deliver a structured, high-quality PE curriculum, providing 15 mounted lessons per semester, per class. You’ll be responsible for creating safe, creative lesson plans as outlined in the syllabus.
Program Growth: Actively work to expand the program by offering community lessons, off-season hacking opportunities, and training for boarders.
Equine Training & Care: Maintain the athletic standards of our school horses through regular training rides and provide detailed daily horse reports to management and barn staff.
Required Qualifications:
BA/BS degree.
Proficiency in G-Suite and a willingness to learn Workday.
Valid Driver’s License, CPR/AED certification, and a Massachusetts Riding Instructor License.
Must be in good standing with USEF and USHJA.
Proven ability to foster positive relationships with student-athletes and maintain a high-performance culture within a highly selective academic environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Active professional rider status.
Experience in collegiate coaching and recruitment.
Current USEF/USHJA memberships.
Hiring Range $27.92 - $31.40
