  • Familiarity with Apprenticeship Documents: Knowledge of apprenticeship documents and the submission process.

Requirements:

  • Assist with formulation and execution of growth, sales, and marketing strategies for the organization, collaborating with internal teams to drive growth and deliver excellent customer service.
  • Collaboratively plan, develop, and implement training and workforce development programs for the NCCER sponsor network by understanding market, training, and development needs.
  • Leverage state, regional, and customer data to analyze workforce issues facing the construction industry and prepare relevant reports.
  • Oversee accreditation and workforce development cases to ensure timely follow-up within service level agreements and support NCCER committees and related audits.

Description

The Senior Workforce Development Manager will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing effective training and upskilling programs that strengthen the construction workforce. This role focuses on identifying workforce needs, addressing skills gaps, and supporting career progression through impactful, industry-aligned programs.


This role requires a strong understanding of the construction industry, along with proven experience in workforce development and program design. The ideal candidate is strategic, organized, and passionate about developing people and driving meaningful workforce outcomes.

  1. Assist with the formulation and execution of growth, sales and marketing strategies for the organization
  2. Work cooperatively with Pearson’s sales and marketing team to formulate and execute growth strategies for both organizations and provide an excellent customer service experience to organizations
  3. Work through industry and nonprofit associations, governmental agencies, contractors and other NCCER stakeholders to promote the value of industry credentials and lifelong learning for construction craft professionals
  4. Collaboratively plan, develop, and implement training and workforce development programs for NCCER incoming and current sponsor network by understanding their specific market, training, and development needs
  5. Leverage state, regional and customer data to competently present on workforce issues facing the construction industry
  6. Monitor and report on market and competitor activities and provide relevant reports and information
  7. Assists various NCCER committees as required
  8. Collaborates with the Audit Department regarding investigations and accreditation audits
  9. Oversee Accreditation and Workforce Development cases to ensure follow up within our Service Level Agreement (SLR)

Requirements

  • Field Experience: Actual experience in the field, demonstrating an understanding of the challenges and requirements of workforce development.

Software Skills:  Sales Force, Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), proprietary websites (Online Bookstore, Testing System, Assessment Platform, NCCER Shop, Instructor Resource Center), internet navigation
