Senior Data Engineer

Job Description: Sr DATA ENGINER

As a part of the AI & Data Platform organization, the Enterprise Business Intelligence (EBI) team is central to NXP’s data analytic success, providing and maintaining data solutions, platforms and methods that enable self-service business creation of solutions that drive the business forward.

Data Engineers within EBI have responsibilities across solution requirements, design, delivery and support.  In this role you will work with Product Owners and Architects to design, build and maintain ETL/ ELT pipelines, data pipelines and jobs, combining data from multiple source systems into one or multiple target systems.

Solutions delivered must adhere to EBI and IT architectural principles pertaining to capacity planning, performance management, data security, lifecycle management and regulatory compliance.  Assisting the Operational Support team with analysis and investigation of issues is also expected, as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proven experience as full stack developer
• Experience in Databricks SQL, PySpark, Python, Teradata SQL
• Experience with GitHub, GitLab, CI/CD
• Hands on experience in ETL design and development concepts (5+ years)
• Knowledge of advanced analytic concepts including AI/ML
• Demonstrated ability to be a self-learner
• Strong collaborative and relationship-building skills
• Demonstrated ability to deliver results
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Must be focused, self-directed and good at managing the work
• A disciplined approach to problem solving

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience with Agile / DevOps
• Knowledge of existing NXP EDS environment and skillset for conversion to OneDataPlatform, DataBricks
