Director, Network Systems Engineering
Current Need
McKesson is seeking a Director of Network Systems Engineering to lead the execution and delivery of enterprise network services that support our critical healthcare operations. This role is responsible for leading network engineering and delivery teams, ensuring reliable, secure, and scalable connectivity across offices, distribution centers, data centers, and cloud environments. The Director partners closely with crossfunctional technology and business teams to deliver highquality network solutions aligned with McKesson’s standards, financial goals, and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Lead network engineering and delivery teams responsible for enterprise connectivity services.
Oversee the design, implementation, and lifecycle management of enterprise LAN, WAN, SDWAN, wireless, and cloud connectivity solutions.
Ensure network initiatives are delivered on time, within budget, and with minimal impact to business operations.
Own operational performance for network services, including availability, performance, incident response, and change execution.
Drive standardization, automation, and continuous improvement to enhance network reliability and delivery efficiency.
Manage network operating and capital budgets, including forecasting, cost controls, and variance management.
Partner with vendors and service providers to ensure service quality, SLA compliance, and cost optimization.
Identify and mitigate delivery, operational, and technology risks; escalate issues with clear recommendations.
Collaborate closely with Architecture, Cybersecurity, Cloud, Infrastructure Operations, and Business stakeholders.
Build, coach, and develop highperforming technical leaders and engineers, fostering a culture of accountability and ownership.
Minimum Qualifications
10+ years of progressive leadership experience in network engineering, infrastructure, or related technology domains.
Qualifications:-
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.
Significant experience leading enterprise network engineering or infrastructure delivery teams in large, complex environments.
Strong working knowledge of modern network technologies, including SDWAN, campus/branch networking, wireless, and hybrid cloud connectivity.
Proven experience managing budgets, vendors, and largescale infrastructure programs.
Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to partner effectively across technical and nontechnical teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting healthcare, pharmaceutical, or other regulated industries.
Experience with large site refresh programs, M&A integrations, or enterprise standardization initiatives.
Relevant industry certifications or advanced degree.
