Job description

This is a remote position.

This is a full-time contract position offering a daily rate. The role focuses on managing and securing a high-availability, on-premises production platform, with a specific emphasis on Identity and Access Management (IAM) and private cloud infrastructure stability.

Fluent German and English (C1 level) are required. Only occasional onsite visits in Germany.

Responsibilities

Identity & Access Management: Oversee identity workflows including user onboarding, roles, and permission management within cloud platforms.
Platform Stability: Ensure the high availability and performance of the on-premises private cloud environment hosting mission-critical applications.
Security Enforcement: Implement monitoring and logging strategies to support audit requirements, perform routine security scans, and remediate identified vulnerabilities.
CI/CD & Operational Readiness: Support automated pipelines, validate deployment artifacts, and enforce quality assurance measures for software delivery.
Managed Kubernetes Operations: Monitor system health and service availability across multi-tenant environments, ensuring operational stability and responsiveness.
Incident & Lifecycle Management: Lead root cause analysis, resolve technical issues within business hours, and execute routine system optimisations and patches.
Automation: Address recurring operational issues by automating standard processes following an established software development lifecycle.

Requirements

Senior-level professional experience in operations management for private cloud and IAM solutions.
Operational expertise in Identity and Access Management protocols, specifically OIDC, SAML, and OAuth2.
Proven experience with managed Kubernetes clusters and productive applications in on-premises environments.
Deep understanding of networking concepts, including protocols, load balancing, and network security.
Profound knowledge of CI/CD processes and tooling (such as GitLab, Jenkins, and ArgoCD) and associated security assurance.
Strong grasp of core operations processes (Incident, Change, and Problem Management) alongside SRE concepts.
Hands-on experience with observability and logging stacks, including Prometheus, Grafana, Mimir, and Loki.
Experience in gathering operational insights and managing SLI/SLA/SLO tracking.
Eligibility Residency in the EU, EEC, UK, or Switzerland.
