Key Position Details:

  • 1.0 FTE (80 hours per two-week pay period)
  • 8-hour, day shift
  • No weekend rotation

Job Description:

This position is responsible for initiating calls with patients to collect payments and settle accounts. Follows-up on accounts, receives and processes payments, updates incomplete and missing account information. Collaborates with patients to create payment arrangements and counsels patients on financial assistance programs.

Principle Responsibilities

  • Coordinates payment resolution on unpaid accounts.
    • Contacts patients to discuss and resolve outstanding balances.
    • Obtains and processes payments.
    • Collaborates with patients to create payment arrangements.
    • Counsels patients on financial assistance programs.
    • Verifies payments and adjustments have been received and posted.
  • Maintains and supports customer accounts and inquiries.
    • Receives and resolves calls from patients, insurance companies, attorneys, and departments.
    • Ensures correct billing by addressing accounts with incomplete or missing information.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age with education and/or experience needed to meet required functional competencies as listed on the job description
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in a call center, medical, insurance, or collections or


Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Associate's or Vocational degree in business, healthcare, or related field
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in Revenue Cycle Management


Physical Demands

  • Sedentary:
  • Lifting weight up to 10 lbs. occasionally, negligible weight frequently

Pay Range

Pay Range: $22.04 to $30.01 per hour

The pay described reflects the base hiring pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable). Shift, weekend and/or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for certain shifts or work.
