Roles & Responsibilities

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related quantitative field
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in SCM roles (e.g., buyer, planner, materials planner)
  • Experience with EMS partnerships and electronics/technology manufacturing is an advantage
  • Proficiency with major ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, Power BI, Tableau)

Requirements:

  • Monitor EMS demand and raw material supply to optimize inventory levels and ensure steady production flow for both LMR and Video solutions.
  • Manage suppliers, create purchase orders, forecast needs, track performance, and resolve issues to minimize shortages or excess stock.
  • Balance costs, quality, and timely delivery through strong supplier relationships and collaboration with internal teams (Business Operations and DCs) using ERP/MRP systems.
  • Act as the bridge between demand plans and build plans, driving continuous improvement in supply chain processes (e.g., Lean/Six Sigma).

Department Overview

Global Supply Planning Team responsible to monitor EMS execution to fulfill Motorola needs worldwide for both LMR and Video Divisions.


Job Description

The GSP manages the suppliers (EMS) flow of products by monitoring demand, monitor raw material supply to EMS, and optimizing inventory levels to meet their production needs, balancing costs, quality, and timely delivery through strong supplier relationships, data analysis, and collaboration with internal teams like Business Operations and DCs, utilizing ERP/MRP systems for efficiency and continuous improvement. Is also responsible to ensure a steady flow of materials for production by balancing inventory, managing suppliers, and creating purchase orders, using data to forecast needs, track performance, and resolve issues to meet operational goals and minimize shortages or excess stock. They act as a bridge, converting demand plans into actual build plans, managing supplier relationships. This position is responsible for managing these activities for both Land Mobile Radio (LMR) and Video solutions.

Education & Experience

  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a closely related quantitative field is required.

  • Experience: A minimum of 3+ years on SCM roles such as buyer, planner, materials planner. Experience with EMS partnerships and electronics/technology manufacturing is a significant advantage.

Technical & Analytical Competencies

  • SCM Systems Proficiency: Proficiency with major Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and dedicated Supply Chain Management (SCMS) software.

  • Data Analysis: Demonstrated ability to monitor, interpret, and present complex supply chain data using advanced analytical tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel, SQL, Power BI, Tableau) to inform strategic decision-making and report generation for executive leadership.

  • Process Methodologies: Experience driving continuous improvement initiatives, preferably utilizing methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or other accredited performance enhancement frameworks.

  • Soft Skills: Negotiation, communication, problem-solving, attention to detail, organization, relationship building.
