POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The Commercial & Industrial Sales Representative position is primarily responsible for generating new business opportunities through offering creative solutions to drive business growth.  The major functions of this position include providing consultation or expert advice to management, representing the company during important contract negotiations as well as the ability to collaborate with various departments in order to generate value-added-solutions to existing customers through the development of innovative/effective programs.  Overall the responsibility with both potential/existing clients are to manage the sale process in order to increase sales volume and overall company profitability.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Utilize the marketing department to develop innovative solutions to acquire new business opportunities in cohesion with the various departments. (e.g., supply and logistics departments, etc.).
  • Develop existing territory volume and profitability through offering customer-focused creative programs to enhance their purchasing requirements. (e.g., risk management, inventory management, fuel operability programs, etc.).
  • Present company attributes/programs to prospects/existing customers through an effective sales process (e.g., face-to-face meetings, presentations, etc.) in order to lead to driven positive results on a weekly basis. 
  • Analyze market data and develop strategies that teach management on how their company can buy differently.  
  • Grow volume and increase profitability within existing territory by capitalizing on market and supply opportunities.
  • Deliver quality service to customers through order receipt and confirmation, logistics communication, accurate invoicing, competitive price quoting, and resourceful problem solving concepts.
  • Work as part of a team environment by providing support to fuels division colleagues/customers as needed. (e.g., during holidays, vacation time periods, covering teammates on outside sales calls, etc.).
