Lead QA Automation Engineer (Fintech)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Lead QA Automation Engineer with strong expertise in Fintech product testing, particularly in credit scoring, loan decisioning, and credit monitoring systems.

This role requires a highly skilled professional who can lead QA strategy, drive automation excellence, and manage distributed teams while ensuring the highest quality standards for mission-critical financial platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and own the end-to-end QA and automation strategy for Fintech applications in a remote environment
  
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for API, UI, and backend testing
  
• Drive automation across:
  
• Credit scoring workflows
  
• Bureau integrations
  
• Decision engines
  
• Credit monitoring systems
  
• Oversee functional, regression, performance, and security testing
  
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to QA team members
  
• Act as the primary QA stakeholder for product owners, engineering teams, and business stakeholders
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define quality benchmarks and release criteria
  
• Lead test planning, estimation, execution, and reporting in Agile/Scrum environments
  
• Perform defect tracking, root cause analysis, and ensure timely resolution
  
• Ensure adherence to financial regulations, data privacy, and security standards
  
• Communicate test progress, risks, and quality metrics to leadership and clients
  

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of QA experience with 3–4+ years in automation and leadership roles
  
• Strong hands-on experience with automation tools:
  
• Selenium, Cypress, Playwright
  
• JUnit / TestNG
  
• RestAssured, Postman
  
• Solid understanding of:
  
• Credit scoring systems
  
• Bureau APIs
  
• Lending and risk platforms
  
• Proficiency in Java or Python for automation scripting
  
• Experience testing:
  
• Microservices architecture
  
• REST APIs
  
• Cloud-native and distributed systems
  
• Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab, Bamboo)
  
• Proven experience working with remote/global teams
  
• Excellent analytical, documentation, and reporting skills
  
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  

Nice to Have

• Experience in security and compliance testing (PCI DSS, SOC 2, ISO standards)
  
• Performance testing experience using JMeter or Gatling
  
• Prior experience in product-based Fintech or lending platforms
