Looking for a role where you can own your territory and deliver real results?

This fixed‑term parental leave cover position sits within our high‑performing Southern Sales Team as the Otago/Southland Territory Manager for Clorox New Zealand. In this role, you’ll report directly to the Southern Regional Sales Manager and play a key part in driving growth across the region.

In this role, you will:

You’ll be managing a territory spanning Otago, Southland and South Canterbury, servicing all Supermarkets along with a small number of Foodservice and Hardware customers. You’ll be responsible for executing Account Sales Plans and achieving set sales objectives while leading a team of casual merchandisers across the region. Specifically, you will:

  • Drive sales and deliver annual targets across Grocery, Foodservice, Commercial and Convenience channels.
  • Grow product distribution and introduce new products to customers.
  • Ensure strong in‑store execution, including shelf plans and display objectives.
  • Lead and support a team of part‑time merchandisers across the territory.
  • Report on market trends, competitor activity and pricing.
  • Maintain accurate administration and uphold Clorox standards at all times.

This is a fixed‑term parental leave cover role is based in Dunedin and includes up to four nights of overnight travel per month, as well as quarterly planning meetings with the wider business team. To succeed, you’ll need to be highly self‑motivated and comfortable working autonomously, as the role is fully remote with regular travel across Otago, Southland and South Canterbury.

What we look for:

  • Minimum 2-5 Years sales experience
  • Previous experience in FMCG field sales preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High degree of self-discipline and motivation.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills.
  • A proactive approach to meeting territory targets
  • Customer Service Orientation.
  • Results-driven. 
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Excel, PowerPoint and Wor
