Budget: $1000 - $3000 USD per month [depending upon your experience and interview process]

About the role

We’re looking for a highly detail-oriented Accountant / Bookkeeper to help bring structure and clarity to our financial records across multiple entities.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys organizing messy financial information, building systems from scratch, and creating order where there currently isn’t much visibility. You’ll be responsible for reviewing invoices, payment records, bank statements, and supporting documentation, then organizing them into a clear, reliable system that stakeholders can easily access and work from.

What you’ll do

  • Own bookkeeping and financial record keeping across multiple entities

  • Review, record, and organize invoices, bills, payments, and historical financial data

  • Reconcile invoices, payment confirmations, bank transactions, and internal records

  • Maintain accurate books in QuickBooks and ensure transactions are correctly categorized

  • Track accounts payable and maintain clear documentation for payments and obligations

  • Clean up disorganized historical records and identify missing or inconsistent data

  • Build and maintain structured trackers, folders, and documentation systems

  • Create clear payment trails showing when payments were made and how they were processed

  • Support documentation for internal reviews and external processes such as draw applications

  • Work with internal stakeholders to resolve gaps and improve financial tracking going forward

What we’re looking for

  • 3-8 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or financial operations

  • Strong experience handling invoices, reconciliations, and financial documentation

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to spot inconsistencies quickly

  • Strong proficiency in Google Sheets or Excel

  • Proficient in QuickBooks

  • Excellent comms in English (since we have teammates working in different timezones)

  • Comfortable handling sensitive financial and company data

  • Able to work independently with minimal hand-holding

  • Strong organizational skills and a systems-building mindset

Nice to have

  • Experience working across multiple entities or business units

  • Experience cleaning up disorganized financial records

  • Experience in fast-moving or entrepreneurial environments
