Roles & Responsibilities

  • Deep understanding of SaaS economics (ARR, NRR, renewals, and expansion levers) with strong strategic, analytical, and financial acumen
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives in a matrixed, global organization; proficiency with Salesforce, BI tools, and forecasting systems

  • Own end-to-end portfolio performance, including retention, expansion, churn risk, and revenue predictability; define segmentation, targets, and governance to drive portfolio outcomes
  • Lead renewal and churn-mitigation strategies; identify expansion opportunities and influence pricing, packaging, and the commercial strategy for large or complex portfolios
  • Serve as the senior cross-functional owner coordinating with Sales, Account Management, Renewals, Customer Success, Product, and Finance; establish engagement models and chair regular portfolio reviews
  • Own portfolio-level forecasting, analytics, and executive reporting; partner with Revenue Operations to ensure data integrity and provide insights to inform strategy and GTM adjustments

Job description

The Director of Portfolio Management (Residential, Living) is responsible for the strategic oversight, performance, and optimization of a defined portfolio of MRI Software customers. This role owns portfolio-level outcomes including revenue retention, net expansion, churn mitigation, and customer health, ensuring predictable ARR performance and long-term client value. Operating as a senior business leader, the Director of Portfolio Management partners closely with Sales, Account Management, Renewals, Customer Success, Product, and Finance to define portfolio strategy, prioritize resources, and drive consistent execution across large and complex customer segments.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Portfolio Strategy & Revenue Ownership

  • Own end-to-end performance of assigned customer portfolios, including gross and net retention, expansion, churn risk, and revenue predictability

  • Define portfolio segmentation strategies based on ARR, growth potential, risk profile, industry vertical, and strategic importance

  • Establish portfolio-level targets, success metrics, and performance benchmarks aligned to corporate objectives

  • Drive executive-level accountability for portfolio outcomes through structured governance and reporting cadences

Renewals, Retention & Growth Leadership

  • Provide strategic leadership over renewal execution in partnership with Sales Renewals and Account Management leaders

  • Lead proactive churn-risk identification and mitigation strategies across the portfolio

  • Identify expansion and whitespace opportunities at a portfolio level and influence sales prioritization accordingly

  • Guide pricing, packaging, and commercial strategy discussions for large or complex portfolios

Cross-Functional Governance & Execution

  • Serve as the senior point of coordination across Sales, Customer Success, Support, Services, Product, and Finance for portfolio execution

  • Establish consistent engagement models, escalation paths, and deal strategy across customer segments

  • Chair regular portfolio reviews with cross-functional leaders to drive alignment, transparency, and action

  • Influence resource allocation decisions to maximize portfolio performance and efficiency

Forecasting, Analytics & Executive Reporting

  • Own portfolio-level forecasting for renewals, churn risk, and expansion pipeline

  • Partner with Revenue Operations to ensure data integrity, reporting accuracy, and KPI visibility

  • Deliver executive-ready reporting and insights on portfolio health, trends, and risks

  • Use advanced analytics to inform strategic decisions, investment priorities, and GTM adjustments

Process Design & Continuous Improvement

  • Define and evolve portfolio management frameworks, playbooks, and best practices

  • Identify systemic risks, inefficiencies, or coverage gaps and drive corrective action

  • Partner with Product and Marketing to ensure portfolio insights inform roadmap prioritization and go-to-market strategy

  • Champion operational excellence and scalability across customer-facing teams

Leadership & Talent Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop peers or matrixed team members as applicable

  • Establish performance expectations, development plans, and succession readiness within the portfolio management function

  • Act as a thought leader within MRI on portfolio strategy, customer economics, and revenue optimization

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Analytics, or related field required; MBA preferred

  • 10–15 years of progressive experience in SaaS revenue management, account leadership, customer success, or portfolio management

  • Demonstrated success owning large, complex customer portfolios with material ARR responsibility

  • Deep understanding of SaaS economics, including ARR, NRR, renewals, and expansion levers

  • Strong strategic, analytical, and financial acumen with ability to translate data into action

  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives in a matrixed, global organization

  • Proficiency with Salesforce, BI tools, and forecasting systems.

  • Experience in real estate, property management, or financial technology ecosystems strongly preferred
