Job Summary

The Shared Services Supervisor will guide a multi-faceted team of 10-20 individuals performing the day to day tasks required within the Shared Services Department. This individual will be the primary contact for the Shared Services Department and must be flexible with their working schedule and availability based on the business needs of the department.  

Major Responsibilities/Activities

  • Directly responsible for creating goals, auditing production, and providing coaching to maximize employee performance 
  • Ensure all employees have the necessary resources and equipment to be successful in their roles
  • Develop training tools and ramp up plans for employees including career growth paths which may lead to advancement within the company
  • Establish methods of team communication which creates an environment of inclusiveness where employees are engaged and feel supported by both their team and supervisor
  • Track and analyze inventory volume trends to forecast and plan for future staffing needs 
  • Manage file transfers between EMS|MC to various debt collection agencies and government entities
  • Identify best practices and create tracking mechanisms to efficiently deliver one-off client specific requests
  • Oversee the department specific tasks associated with new client onboarding and wind-downs
  • Ensure all employee time is accurately recorded in the HRIS including PTO, holiday time, punches, monitoring overtime usage, and approving payroll for direct reports
  • Approach all responsibilities with a primary focus on client performance 
  • Develop and communicate innovative ideas to improve overall client performance by increasing team performance while cutting costs, and by providing industry-leading customer service
  • Consistently support and demonstrate the company mission and values

Other Responsibilities/Activities

  • Flexible work schedule dictated by the departmental needs
  • Create and/or strengthen direct client relationships
  • Perform reconciliations of large files when required


Requirements

Required Education, Skills, & Experience

  • High School Diploma
  • Intermediate to expert excel skills including file manipulation and creation
  • Strong, effective, and professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multi-departmental and diverse teams to achieve results
  • Experience leading a team in a remote environment
  • Highly organized with ability to be proactive, manage time, and prioritize work 
  • Willing and able to adapt to changes in work environment, procedures, priorities, schedule, and job duties

Preferred Education, Skills, & Experience

  • Thorough knowledge of major health insurers, including federal and state agencies 
  • Previous medical billing and/or account reconciliation
  • Understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, commercial, and patient reimbursement/billing, and HIPAA

Working Environment/Physical Requirements

  • General office environment
  • Frequent telephone use
  • Frequent typing
  • Sitting for long periods of time, some standing
  • Use of basic office equipment such as computer, fax, printer, copier

 

Pay transparency: $70,000.00 annually, with final compensation based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and business needs. Individuals in this role are eligible to participate in a discretionary bonus plan and a comprehensive benefit package, including a retirement plan, health coverage, and paid time off.
