This is a remote position.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and structured Technical Documentation Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for creating, organizing, and maintaining high-quality technical documentation that supports service delivery and technical operations.
You will work closely with engineering and operations teams to capture knowledge and translate technical processes into clear, standardized documentation such as runbooks, SOPs, and troubleshooting guides. This role plays a critical part in ensuring consistency, efficiency, and scalability across service delivery.
Create, develop, and maintain runbooks, SOPs, and troubleshooting guides from scratch
Document operational workflows, service processes, and technical procedures
Collaborate with technical teams to gather and validate information
Translate complex technical input into clear, structured, and user-friendly documentation
Maintain and update knowledge base articles to ensure accuracy and relevance
Organize documentation following established templates, standards, and best practices
Contribute to the continuous improvement and standardization of documentation across teams
Support knowledge management initiatives and ensure documentation accessibility
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
2–4 years of experience in technical documentation, IT operations, or support environments
Strong written communication and documentation skills
Ability to structure and present technical information clearly and effectively
Experience as a Technical Documentation Specialist / Technical Writer in a technology or MSP environment
Proven ability to create runbooks, SOPs, and troubleshooting guides from scratch
Strong written communication skills with the ability to translate technical input into clear, structured documentation
Technical exposure to IT operations, support, or technical environments (does not require an engineering background)
Hands-on documentation experience (non-marketing or content writing)
Experience using ServiceNow for documentation or knowledge base content
Familiarity with Microsoft tools, specifically SharePoint
Experience working within or contributing to a knowledge base system
MSP (Managed Service Provider) background
Experience organizing, standardizing, or improving documentation across teams or systems
Strong attention to detail
Excellent organizational and documentation skills
Ability to quickly understand technical concepts
Collaborative mindset when working with cross-functional teams
