  • Collaborate with product, analytics, and engineering teams; apply agile methodologies and ensure secure, scalable, cost-optimized cloud infrastructure
  • Leverage knowledge of Adobe Analytics tools (AEP and Customer Journey Analytics) and stay informed on retail ecommerce data strategies

OVERVIEW:

Job Purpose:

The Data Engineer II – Real Time Analytics is responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of data pipelines that capture and process event-based data generated across web and native application user interfaces. They partner with product, analytics, and engineering teams to ensure accurate, scalable collection of user interaction data. They apply expertise in digital data layers and event schemas to deliver reliable, high-quality datasets that enable customer behavior analysis, product optimization, and data-driven decision making.

Knowledge of Adobe tools, including Adobe Analytics and Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) preferred.

Responsibilities:

Behavioral Data Knowledge

  • Understanding of event-based data collection from user interfaces.

  • Knowledge of Adobe analytics tools such as AEP and Customer Journey Analytics.

  • Retail eCommerce behavior and marketing data strategies.

Build HighQuality Pipelines

  • Develop reliable data pipelines using SQL, Python, Databricks/Spark.

  • Improve and modernize existing pipelines for clarity, performance, and maintainability.

  • Add tests, documentation, lineage, and observability to strengthen trust.

  • Understands resilient, scalable systems, cloud cost optimization, and security.

Ongoing Learning and Development

  • Actively develops capabilities through assessments, training, coaching, and professional accreditation.

  • Maintains awareness of relevant technologies, regulations, and industry best practices through continuous education, conferences, and media.

Development & Delivery Practices

  • Applies agile methodologies and strong coding standards.

  • Manages source control and implements CI/CD for high-quality, maintainable software delivery.

  • Collaborates with analysts, product managers, marketing teams, data scientists, vendor teams, and other engineers.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent level preferred

  • General Experience: Experienced practitioner able to work unsupervised (13 months to 3 years)

Targeted Pay Range: $76,500.00 - $124,600.00. This is part of a competitive total rewards package that could include other components such as: incentive, equity and benefits. Individual pay is determined by a number of factors including experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
