POSITION OVERVIEW
dormakaba is seeking a remote Software Solutions Technical Specialist. The Software Solutions Technical Specialist will serve as dormakaba’s LGS (Lodging System) product expert, serving as a trusted resource for internal teams including Project Coordinators, Software Support, and Field Technicians. They will provide timely guidance and actionable solutions to resolve deployment-related issues efficiently. This role plays a critical part in safeguarding client satisfaction, project revenue, and delivery timelines.
HIRING SALARY RANGE: Base Salary $55,000 - $60,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) Please visit our career site for more information on benefits.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Provide support for the installer hotline, addressing questions that arise during installations
- Manage incoming calls from field technicians, certified installers, and integrators
- Support the definition, development, installation, and testing of software systems and application
- Conduct remote software installations and deliver end-user training as needed
- Collaborate with the Project Coordinator to resolve technical escalations on projects
WHAT WE REQUIRE
- Bachelor’s degree preferably from a technical program or in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or IT Systems
- 2+ years’ experience in a support role, ideally within a call center or field service environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Server and Client Operating Systems, SQL Server databases, and Microsoft Networking Fundamentals
- Hands-on knowledge of DevOps toolchains, including frameworks for Android and iOS platforms
WHAT WE PREFER
- Knowledge of iCloud services and cloud platforms; SaaS experience with Azure/AWS certification preferred
- Multilingual skills are an asset, particularly in French and Spanish
- Prior experience in training or teaching.
- Hands-on experience with access control, alarm systems, and related software.
