Role: Unix/SQL Support Engineer

Top Skills- UNIX, SQL, Scripting, FIX Protocol

Experience range- 4-10 years

Key Responsibility's:

1. Technology support to Equities trading division with knowledge of FIX protocol.
2. Troubleshooting process failures in Linux Environment, job conflicts and Job scheduling.
3. Cloud infrastructure management.
4. Handling start of day / End of Day production support.
5. Functional Support to Order Management system.
6. Basic Automation using scripting or code debugging.
7. Client Report Generation & Customization using SQL and DB translation scripts.
8. Manage CI/CD pipelines (build, deploy, release).
9. Documentation of procedures, deployment steps, runbooks, and incident resolutions.
10. Manage incident lifecycle — detection, logging, impact assessment, communication, and closure.

Skills Required:

1. Good knowledge on Linux platform with strong process Management skills.
2. Effective problem solving skills.
3. Exposure to Database / Debugging skills and ability to write SQL queries.
4. Exposure to at least one scripting language (shell / Perl / Python).
5. Good knowledge on Git lab, Git Hub Actions.
6. Good knowledge of ITIL ( incident, change and release management ).
7. Implementing disaster recovery and backup plans.
8. Production support knowledge on Investment banking – Equities (Optional)

Soft Skills :

1. Strong communication skills (Oral & Written) and Interpersonal skills.
2. Flexible to work from Office/Home in an 24/7 environment.
3. Open to learn new Technologies and Equities domain ( Internal trainings will be provided )

Experience : Minimum 4-5 years of relevant IT experience Banking Domain(Investment Banking) preferred
