Roles & Responsibilities

  • 5+ years of experience in client management, insurance placement, and servicing for mid-sized/complex accounts (construction preferred).
  • Strong servicing skills including handling endorsements, audits, and invoicing; detail-oriented and highly organized with excellent math, written and verbal communication.
  • Proficiency with technology and adaptability; active PC license; ability to travel to client sites; team player.
  • Bachelor's degree not required but preferred; insurance designation a plus; construction account experience preferred.

Requirements:

  • Act as the main day-to-day contact for clients in your book, handling submissions, contract reviews, certificates of insurance, invoices, endorsements, audits, and communications.
  • Conduct marketing, negotiate rates, review quotes and coverages for competitiveness and accuracy; monitor renewal marketing and bind process with the Producer.
  • Prepare summaries, schedules of coverage, and proposals; review binders, policies, endorsements, and audits for accuracy.
  • Participate in the claims process and ensure accurate and timely handling of invoicing and premium financing; maintain files per policy standards.

Client Managers provide fast, effective service of the day to day needs of our mid-sized and moderately complex clients by being knowledgeable in coverages, carrier guidelines, underwriting, and legislative changes, maintaining relationships with clients and carrier representatives and assisting in suggesting new lines of coverage for existing clients.


WHO YOU NEED TO BE

  • You are the best of the best! Your producers and clients love you and you know how to keep them delighted!
  • You have the needed expertise and experience (5+ years) to ensure smooth new and renewal marketing, placement, and policy delivery to producers or clients.
  • You have the servicing of accounts (endorsements, audits, invoicing, etc.) down to a science.
  • You know that quality is key, and your attention to detail is one of your best traits, along with being well organized, excellent at math, and having some great written and oral communication skills.
  • Technology is your friend – you usually know all the shortcuts and what you don’t know, you learn quickly.
  • You know that attitude is everything. You come to work ready to be a team player every day, even if that means having to step up to other duties from time to time.
  • You have an active P&C license. If you have a college degree, that sends you to the top of the list, but it isn't required. If you have an insurance designation, that’s even better!
  • Experience managing Construction accounts preferred.


THE JOB


A Client Manager contributes to C3’s success by performing the following tasks:

  • Act as the main, day-to-day contact for clients in your book.
  • Prepare Applications and other documents required for a submission.
  • Perform Contract reviews for insurance requirements compliance.
  • Prepare Certificates of Insurance, Invoices, and Finance Agreements.
  • Process Endorsements, Audits.
  • Analyze and compare current exposures to develop renewal or new business specifications for marketing.
  • Conduct marketing, negotiate rates, and review quotes and coverages for competitiveness and accuracy.
  • Review and summarize marketing results and prepare proposals.
  • Monitor and manage the renewal marketing and bind process, in partnership with the Producer (and at times with a Client Executive).
  • Check binders, policies, endorsements, and audits for accuracy.
  • Prepare summaries and/or schedules of coverage for clients.
  • Participate in the claims process, including claim submission, follow-up, and overall communication.
  • Ensure financial aspects related to invoicing and premium financing are performed correctly and timely.
  • Maintain files in accordance with company policy and professional standards outlined by the Department of Insurance.
  • Have good verbal and written communication skills for both client and internal communication.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

  • You must be able to use a keyboard and other office equipment.
  • Willing to travel to client’s sites required, with occasional overnight stays on out-of-state site visits.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $75,000 to $100,000. The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, and education. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
