Technical Product Designer

Job description

As Lead R&D Engineer, you will serve as the technical architect of a hardware venture, driving the development of a scalable ecosystem of home-health products. You will design a modular PCB and firmware backbone adaptable across diverse applications, with an initial focus on a circadian-entrainment lamp. Through rapid hardware iterations and hands-on prototyping, you will advance concepts toward production readiness and lead their transition into scalable manufacturing in close collaboration with international partners.



Requirements

  • Master’s or PhD degree from ETH Zurich (D-ITET, D-HEST, or D-MAVT). 
  • Strong background in electrical engineering, sensory systems, biomedical optics, or related fields.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ambition to bridge science, prototypes, and industrial design.
  • Hands-on experience with PCB development, embedded firmware, and systems integration is highly valued.
  • Fluent in English; German is a plus.
