Strategic Account Manager

Summary Objective

Strategic Account Manager is responsible for developing, maintaining, and expanding relationships with an organization’s most critical and high-value customers. The role focuses on understanding product portfolio, client business objectives, identifying growth opportunities, and aligning solutions that drive long-term value. Key responsibilities include leading strategic planning for assigned accounts, coordinating cross-functional resources, negotiating contracts, and ensuring exceptional service delivery.

 

Essential Functions

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to deliver client solutions and exceed expectations through coordinated, timely execution.
  • Develop and oversee strategic plans to optimize account performance by tracking key metrics, analyzing trends, and identifying opportunities for growth, operational improvement, and enhanced client satisfaction
  • Negotiate contracts and terms of service with clients, ensuring terms are favorable and mutually beneficial while adhering to company standards.
  • Deliver regular account performance reports to senior management, highlighting key achievements and areas for improvement
  • Manage and resolve account issues promptly, ensuring effective escalation and resolution processes that maintain client trust
  • Develop a deep understanding of clients' markets, industry trends, and competitors to enhance business strategy and service delivery.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to tailor services and solutions that align with client needs and expectations.

Work Environment

This job operates in a office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. This position may require occasional weekend work.

 

Required Education and Experience

  • A bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field is required, with a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in account management within the Data Center Industry. Advanced degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in account management, with a proven track record of managing and growing large accounts effectively.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and proficiency in MS office suite track account performance, present account status and manage client interactions effectively.
  • Demonstrated experience working in diverse cultural and business environments, and skilled in engaging and influencing stakeholders at all organization levels.

Preferred Experience


        Multilingual proficiency is highly desirable, enhancing communication with diverse clients and stakeholders.
