Overview:

Oncology Data Specialist maintains an efficient cancer database of all the patients diagnosed and/or treated with cancer in accordance with the American College of Surgeons requirements for Sentara Cancer Network. Consistently meets productivity goals regarding abstracting. Responsible for assisting with maintaining annual follow-up of patients accessed to the database as well as case finding.

Education Required
High School Diploma or Equivalent

Certification/Licensure
Oncology Data Specialist (ODS) - Certification - National Cancer Registrars Association (NCRA) w/in 3 years of hire
