Requirements:

  • Plan, coordinate, schedule, and execute maintenance and availability plans for Foreign Military Sales (FMS) ships in both shipyard and Naval Base environments, in support of in-country Site and Waterfront Managers.
  • Coordinate complex work and integrated logistics support (ILS) among Amentum teams, teaming partners, and the government customer; mentor and support the Site Manager and Waterfront Manager.
  • Monitor status, investigate issues, develop recommendations, and ensure tasks and personnel are performing efficiently and per the overall project plan; prepare briefs for multiple stakeholder levels.
  • Ensure ITAR/EAR compliance; liaise with PMS 326 and customer organizations to provide full transparency of operations; support Follow-on Technical Support (FOTS) to maintain shipboard readiness and provide recommendations on task, cost, and schedule issues.

Job description

Amentum is actively seeking an Egypt Project Manager to manage and coordinate large scale maintenance and logistics for ships sold to other countries under the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) PMS 326 Follow-On Technical Support (FOTS) contract. The ideal candidate is a self-starter and both organized and methodical amid a highly fluid environment. You must able to effectively multi-task multiple projects in different foreign countries.

This is a full-time, remote role. Some onsite travel will be required to support the client and Project Management Office (PMO). Onsite work will be performed at the PMO Headquarters in Washington, DC or Amentum offices in Norfolk, VA  with OCONUS travel permitted per the client’s needs.

Essential responsibilities and daily duties include:

  • Supporting in-country Site and Waterfront Managers in the country of interest.

  • Plan, coordinate, schedule, and execute maintenance and availability plans for Foreign Military Sales (FMS) ships in both the shipyard and Naval Base environments.

  • Mentor and support the Site Manager and Waterfront Manager.

  • Coordinate complex work and integrated logistics support (ILS) among various stakeholders both internal to Amentum, among our teaming partners, and with the government customer for PMS 326.

  • Ensure individual country projects are planned, executed, and closed in accordance with sounds project management principles and the task order.

  • Monitor status, investigate issues, develop recommendations, and take action to ensure projects and personnel assigned are performing efficiently and per the overall project plan.

  • Ability to develop and give briefs to multiple levels of stakeholders.

  • Ensure that all regulations regarding ITAR/EAR are followed.

  • Liaison with other staff within the PMS 326 contract organization and customer organization to ensure customer has full transparency of all operations.

  • Assist the Contract Program Manager in the performance of his/her duties as a subject matter expert for operations in the region you are assigned.

  • Support and coordinate Follow-on Technical Support (FOTS) work to ensure shipboard readiness is maintained for foreign customers.

  • Provide recommendations to stakeholders for solutions to task, cost, and schedule issues as they arise. Ensure completion of assigned tasks on schedule and cost, at a high quality.

Minimum Requirements

  • 10 years of industry-related experience (including Project Management, Logistics, Facilities, Maintenance, and Personnel Management). At least 4 years of related project management experience.

  • Experience managing large, diverse groups of people.

  • Experience in managing schedules and resources.

  • Experience hiring personnel in multiple job contexts.

  • Ability to effectively communicate in all forms.

  • Ability to obtain a United States Passport. 

  • Ability to travel CONUS and OCONUS.

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

  • Ability to obtain a secret US government clearance. Note: US citizenship is required to obtain a secret clearance. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline.

  • Experience in a shipyard environment.

  • Experience with in-country recruiting, hiring and maintenance of a local workforce.

  • Foreign Military Sales experience (or work with foreign entities in military equipment and operational contexts).

       

Compensation Details:

$165-175k
