Responsibilities

  • Own the full partner cycle across technology, banks, private equity, venture capital, payments consultants, and other partnerships—from prospect to agreement
  • Prospect and outbound new target partners based on ownership/influence of platforms in our ICP using email, phone, live meetings, and LinkedIn
  • Educate and pitch Rainforest’s solution to partners with a consultative approach to drive platform referrals to the sales team
  • Build and maintain relationships with C-level executives and orchestrate executive touchpoints needed to drive partnerships forward

Who is Rainforest?

Rainforest is an early stage payments-as-a-service startup that has developed a solution that makes monetizing payments for vertically focused software platforms fair and simple.

We focus on small-to-mid sized platforms that want to add value to their small business customers through embedded payments — and want to do so without adding operational or regulatory burdens or costs.

Led by a successful repeat fintech founder with deep knowledge of the industry, and with venture backing from a Top 10 VC firm, Rainforest is well positioned to make an impact in the payments-as-a-service space, and we're looking for new team members who want to be a part of this journey!

What are we looking for?

Rainforest is looking for its next Partnerships Lead to join our Revenue team and drive net new partner and platform referral growth for the organization. As a Partnerships Lead, you’ll develop referral and portfolio partnerships that connect the next wave of Vertical SaaS platforms to Rainforest’s PayFac-as-a-service offering.

What are some of the high-impact opportunities you’ll tackle?

  • Owning the full partner cycle across technology, bank, Private Equity, Venture Capital, Payments Consultants, and other partnerships - from prospect to agreement

  • Prospecting and outbounding new target partners based on their ownership/influence of platforms in our ideal customer profile across email, phone calls, live meetings and LinkedIn

  • Educating and pitching Rainforest’s solution to partners with a consultative approach to help drive platform referrals to the sales team

  • Building and maintaining key relationships with C-level executives, while orchestrating all executive touch points needed to drive partnerships forward

  • Representing Rainforest at conferences, industry networking events, and corporate engagements

  • Driving partner co-marketing initiatives – including webinars, curated dinners, roundtables, and other ecosystem events – to strengthen relationships, build visibility and accelerate referral opportunities

  • Continually updating and managing Hubspot pipelines for tracking and forecasting partner and partner-led deal progress

  • Working with cross-functionally within Rainforest to put together business plans and help drive product strategy

This opportunity is for you if you have / are:

  • 3+ years of proven experience in a consultant, analyst, or operations, Chief of Staff, or partnerships role, managing/evaluating complex solutions

  • A strong track record of driving referrals to sales or business development teams

  • A team player who enjoys working with multiple stakeholders internally at Rainforest

  • The ability to execute in a fast-paced, highly entrepreneurial startup and can thrive in an ambiguous environment and quickly context switch

  • Payments, PE, or VC industry experience is certainly preferred, but looking for those who think strategically and enjoy the hustle
