Job description
Overview
We are seeking an experienced OCI Cloud Provisioning Engineer to support secure federal cloud environments within Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). This role focuses on provisioning and configuring cloud infrastructure resources and supporting repeatable deployment workflows across networking, compute, and storage services. The engineer will participate in deployment validation, automation workflows, operational troubleshooting, and documentation.
Education & Certification Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
DoD 8570 / 8140 compliant certification (Security+ CE or equivalent).
Clearance Requirements
Tier 5 (T5) Investigation required.
Active CAC required.
Onsite Requirements
100% Remote
Responsibilities
Provision and configure OCI resources across development, test, and production.
Support deployments across OCI networking, compute, and storage.
Build and maintain repositories, infrastructure stacks, and deployment pipelines.
Assist with deployment validation and configuration verification.
Support infrastructure troubleshooting during deployments and incidents.
Collaborate with cloud, network, and security engineers.
Contribute to repeatable provisioning procedures and operational playbooks.
Assist with root‐cause analysis and remediation.
Document configurations, architecture details, and operational procedures.
Support environments aligned with federal security and compliance requirements.
Qualifications
7–10 years supporting enterprise infrastructure systems, cloud platforms, or virtualization environments.
Experience with cloud infrastructure provisioning or enterprise deployments.
Strong troubleshooting experience across cloud infrastructure and OS‐level functions.
Desired Skills
Hands‐on experience with OCI services.
Experience with IaC tools (Terraform, etc.).
Familiarity with Git‐based repository workflows.
Experience supporting federal cloud environments.
Knowledge of secure cloud architectures and compliance frameworks.
