Your role in our team
As our new Quality Responsible, you will ensure that quality standard and customer requirements are systematically identified and embedded across projects and product development activities. You will evaluate quality standards and secure compliance throughout the project life cycle. In this role, you will participate in proposals and contact reviews to ensure customer quality requirements are identified early and implemented through structured Product Assurance and Safety Plans (PASP), including effective flow-down to suppliers.
As a Quality Responsible you will safeguard project execution in accordance with our Quality Management System by planning and facilitate internal and external audits. You will play a key role in ensuring that defined quality requirements are fulfilled and that all deliverables meet the agreed standard prior to release.
You will be a part of a team of Quality Managers and Engineers, working within different Business Areas. Your role will be to provide Product Assurance in projects towards Space industry.
You will be working in our Leiden office in The Nederland’s as the only Q representative, and as it is a small department, the job comes with a variety of tasks, from reception control to high level Product Assurance, mainly within software development. You will be managed by a manager of a highly skilled team in Darmstadt Germany as a part of a global Q organization located in Aarhus, Denmark.
How you will make a meaningful contribution
Your key responsibilities include:
- Be a part of Bid/No bid, proposal and contract review, with focus on customer requirement.
- Evaluate requirement for new product development, to ensure they meet coming customers’ expectations.
- Manage Customer Complaints efficiently to maintain Terma’s high customer satisfaction level.
- Participate in project milestone meetings to ensure milestone checklist compliance.
- Perform Buy-off, verifying that deliverables are of the right quality.
- Manage Concessions (Deviations & Waivers) and delegations from customers.
- Management of Compliance evaluation concerning AS9100D, ESA ECSS requirements and variety of customer enforced requirements for space products.
- Provides input and support to Business Areas and projects, often as a trusted advisor.
Bring your world class expertise into play
You are fluent in English both in writing and verbal at a professional level. Danish is an advantage but not a requirement. Moreover, we are also looking for a new colleague with the following qualifications:
- You hold a Bachelor´s or Master´s degree in engineering, software or another relevant field.
- Proven track record at Project Manager or Quality Engineer with preferrable 5 years of experience in managing product development projects or managing quality requirement fulfilment. Experience within space industry is preferrable.
- Experienced in understanding system-level interactions between mechanical, hardware, and software components.
- Experience in software engineering and software development processes is preferred, with the ability to understand and manage quality issues related to software development and release. If this qualification is not met, we are willing to train a highly motivated candidate.
- Experienced in performing well-documented audits (project and process audits), if not we will train you.
- Strong skills in Microsoft system
- Experience within Quality Management and Continuous Improvement, including Lean and Six Sigma, is an advantage.
