  • Operate billing and accounting platforms (e.g., QuickBooks, Bill.com) and maintain audit-ready financial records.

Job description

About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and ambitious Junior Accountant to join our dynamic Accounting team. Reporting to the Senior Accountant, this role is accounts receivable–focused, with opportunities to support broader accounting projects as needed.

This role is ideal for someone who has experience in small to mid-sized company environments, where adaptability, ownership, and wearing multiple hats are essential. You’ll gain hands-on, functional accounting experience and exposure to day-to-day accounting operations in a collaborative, fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to;

  • Support and manage Accounts Receivable (AR) activities, including:
    • Preparing, sending, and tracking invoices
    • Booking deposits and payments to bank feed and applying corresponding payments and credits to invoices
    • Managing invoice adjustments (e.g., crediting an invoice)
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and records.
  • Reconcile accounts and support month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Process accounts payable (AP) and receivable (AR) transactions in compliance with company policies.
  • Work within billing and accounting platforms such as QuickBooks, Bill.com, or similar tools.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and audit-ready documentation.
    Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure timely and accurate financial data.
  • Support expense tracking, budgeting, and forecasting efforts.
  • Help implement accounting best practices and process improvements.
  • Jump into other accounting projects and ad-hoc tasks as business needs evolve.

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of accounting experience (including internships or entry-level roles).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and day-to-day workflows.
  • Functional accounting experience, including:
  • Creating and sending invoices
  • Applying credits and payments
  • Understanding AR impact on financials
  • Experience using accounting or billing platforms (e.g., QuickBooks, Bill.com).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Background in small to mid-sized companies, where roles are less siloed and adaptability is required.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion.
  • Clear communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Fluency in English is required.
