Job Description

This is a remote role.

We are an international expansion company seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Manager to join our team. This role will play a crucial part in our financial operations as we continue to grow globally. 

The Accounts Payable Manager will make payments on behalf of our customers and work together with our Finance team to ensure they receive the necessary to record revenue. You will be responsible for managing our customer’s payments in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to departmental procedures. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Set up beneficiaries for international payments: You will be responsible for setting up and maintaining all international payment beneficiaries in our financial platform. 
  • Perform testing: Regularly conduct financial tests, such as penny testing, to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of our payment systems. 
  • Ensure process is followed: Uphold the integrity of our financial operations by ensuring adherence to processes such as the four-eye-principle.   
  • Identify capacity issues: Proactively identify and address any capacity issues within the accounts payable department to ensure smooth operations. 
  • Reporting and Stakeholder Management: You will be responsible for providing management reporting and stakeholder updates to ensure full visibility of departmental performance. You may also be required to support other operational reporting requirements where applicable 

Qualifications: 

  • 3-5 years’ experience in an international Accounts Payable role. 
  • Proactive: Ability to anticipate potential problems and take action before they occur. 
  • Meticulous: Attention to detail is crucial in ensuring the accuracy of our financial operations. 
  • Trustworthy: As a key holder of sensitive financial information, trustworthiness is paramount.
  • Efficient: Ability to manage time and resources effectively to meet deadlines. 
  • Excellent communication skills: Ability to communicate effectively with both internal teams and external partners. Very strong English communication skills, both written and verbal, with additional language fluency being a plus 
  • Adaptable to multi-time zone environment: Comfortable working in a global company and accommodating different time zones. 
  • Proactive and self-motivated: Strong customer service focus. Customer service experience a plus

  • Solution oriented, with the ability to focus on the root cause of the matter. 
  • Self-motivated, detail orientated and driven with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior personnel, both internal and external. 
  • Ability to adapt to an evolving environment. 
  • Works well with a team environment and be a proactive contributor to the overall success of the team. 
  • Assertive but tactful and can manage multiple business relationships.
