Roles & Responsibilities

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems (CIS) or related field with 5 years of relevant experience
  • 5 years of experience developing analytics and data infrastructure in Cloud and on-premises environments using PowerBI, OBIEE 11g/10g, Oracle Analytics Cloud and Oracle Integration Cloud
  • 5 years of experience with SQL and working with relational databases (Oracle, Teradata, Snowflake) including query authoring
  • 5 years of experience building and optimizing data pipelines, architectures, and data sets using PL/SQL, Python, and Informatica ETL tools

Requirements:

  • Analyze current analytics and data technologies and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Serve as subject matter expert on data, systems, and solutions architecture for internal and external stakeholders, defining vision, requirements, options, and roadmaps
  • Collaborate with data engineers to implement, test, deploy, and maintain stable, secure, and scalable data engineering solutions and pipelines
  • Research and evaluate new products and tools to meet analytics needs and make recommendations to management

Lead Data Engineering Analyst wanted by Wyndham Vacation Ownership, Inc. in Orlando, Florida. Analyzing current technologies used within the analytics and data space and determining ways to improve. Serving as a subject matter expert on data, systems, and solutions architecture and platforms for internal and external stakeholders. Reviewing business context for solutions to stakeholders challenges as well as defining the vision and requirements for the solution, recommending potential options, selecting the most optimal option, and developing roadmaps for the selected solution. Working with the data engineers on the team to implement, test, deploy, and maintain stable, secure, and scalable data engineering solutions and pipelines in support of data and analytics projects. Researching and evaluating new products and tools to access and ensure they meet the analytics needs and make product recommendations to the management.

Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems (CIS) or related field plus 5 years of relevant experience in any occupation that includes the required experience and skills. Experience must include: 5 years of experience developing analytics and data infrastructure in Cloud and on-premises environments using PowerBI, OBIEE 11g/10g, Oracle Analytics Cloud and Oracle Integration Cloud; 5 years of experience with SQL and working with relational databases, which experience should include query authoring in SQL and Oracle, Teradata and Snowflake databases; 5 years of experience building and optimizing data pipelines, architectures and data sets leveraging various scripting languages including PL/SQL and Python, and Informatica ETL tools; 5 years of experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement; 5 years of experience with hospitality domain knowledge which includes sales and contracting experience; and 3 years of experience designing in Cloud and on-premises solutions utilizing Meta Data Management Tool (MDM). May work from home within normal commuting distance to our headquarters in Orlando, FL.
