Roles & Responsibilities

  • 15+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance in data protection/SaaS storage or high-availability enterprise storage applications, with at least 3 years in a managerial QA role.
  • Hands-on UI test automation for SaaS/Web applications using Java/Python with frameworks such as Pytest, Selenium, TestNG, and Cucumber.
  • Strong experience with CI/CD, Git and other source control tools, and knowledge of version control practices (merging, branching).
  • BE/BTech or MTech in Computer Science or Engineering with excellent communication, presentation, and ownership of product quality.

Requirements:

  • End-to-end ownership of product quality for SaaS Data Protection software, including setting quality objectives and delivering high-quality releases.
  • Create, advocate and coach test automation best practices and drive increased test automation coverage across the product.
  • Guide and mentor the team with regular 1x1s and team meetings, coordinating with Development, Product Owners, Project Managers, and external stakeholders on quality status, risks, and mitigations.
  • Develop automation roadmaps, perform resource planning (human and hardware), proactively identify risks, and drive improvements to delivery quality and customer satisfaction.

QA Manager(Arcserve)

Brief Job Description:

We are looking for a Technical Manager Quality Assurance with around 15+yrs of experience in Data Protection
Software or any Equivalent Storage Application Domain, Continuous Availability Software or any Equivalent High
Availability Application, Cloud Technologies, Test Automation with In-depth understanding of Quality Engineering
Process/Methodology, experience in Test Planning/Estimation, Resource Planning/Execution, Talent Pool
Management to deliver optimal results, Stakeholder management, Handling /Resolving Customer Escalations,
Providing Technical and Managerial Solutions/Suggestions / guidance to Team with no comprise on the Overall
Product Quality , Building and Ramping up teams to deliver quality results.
As a Technical (hands-on) Manager you will be responsible for the Team’s Quality of Delivery, Overall Performance
of the Team, coordinating with different stakeholders on the deliverables/timelines/risks & mitigations from QA
perspective, proactively identify opportunities to develop and enhance the team’s strength and leverage Teams skills
to deliver high quality results to meet Stakeholder and Customer requirements.
Key Requirements
 Proven 15+ yrs. of work experience with 3+ yrs. of Managerial Experience in Software Quality assurance in
Data Protection Software & SaaS Based Application or equivalent Enterprise storage application running on
SAN/NAS and thorough hands-on experience in Windows & Linux /Unix Administration, Office 365
Applications, Virtualization, knowledge on Windows & Linux Filesystems, Object Storage, Hyper Converged
Infrastructure, Cloud Platform (Azure, AWS, GCP), Client /Server Applications with Database and REST API
interfaces.
 Provide leadership in defining the Test Methodologies, Automation methodologies, Test strategies, Quality
standards, tools, best practices for Quality Test/Automation processes.
 Hands-on experience in UI Test Automation of SaaS / Web Applications using Java/Python with Pytest,
Selenium, TestNG, Cucumber Automation Framework
 Experience in taking up ownership of product/complex modules and driving the Overall Product Quality.
 Experience working closely with development and business teams to communicate problem impacts and to
understand business requirements.
 Experience in Resources (Human and Hardware) Planning and Identifying any risks/challenges proactively.
 Experience in Driving successful Initiatives towards increasing Operational Efficiency, derive/develop
automation Roadmap and Team’s Productivity.
 Experience in conducting root cause analysis, working closely with software developers Experience with CI
/CD, Git or other source control tools and good understanding of Version control, merging, branching

 Experience in constantly Creating / Adapting positive team culture that enables the team in proactively
learning technologies and sharing the knowledge across
 Experience in Talent Performance Management, incudes deriving stack ranking the team members and
provide proactive feedback to the team members on their strengths/opportunities in regular intervals.
 BE/BTech or MTech Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject with good
communications and presentation skills, interpersonal skills, understands the criticality of Product Quality
and Ownership.
Key Responsibilities
 End to End Ownership and Responsibility for complete Product Quality of SaaS & Data Protection Software.
 Create, advocate and coach test automation best practices to team members
 Report and Drive Increased Test automation coverage in all areas.
 Set and Track SMART goals for self and for the team, keeping in view of Organizational objective /
Roadmap.
 Guide and Mentor Team to enable them to achieve competitive Performance.
 Regular 1x1s and team meetings with the team for effective communication and tracking the overall Project
status/progress.
 Setting right expectations to the Team members and ensure that the Team is delivering as expected.
 Communicate / Coordinate Proactively with Development team, Product Owners, Project Managers, and
external stakeholders on Overall Quality Status/Progress and associated Risks and Mitigations from QA
Side.
 Derive Automation Test Plan/Strategy for each release and drive the automation to increase overall Test
Execution efficiency.
 Interface with Product Management, Pre-sales, Customer Support in understanding end-to-end Product
requirements / usage and identify areas of opportunities to enhance Overall Product Quality & Delivery.
 Proactively Review Product requirements /Use Cases, Design specifications and derive QA resource
(human and hardware) planning.
 Provide Technical Guidance to the Team members in Problem Solving, Test Coverage, Customer Use case
Issues and overcome any communication challenges.
 Identify/Derive Teams Technical and Soft skills development areas that will enable the team to accelerate
the Product Delivery and enhance Teams skills more Technically.
 Keep track on the Product Issues and identify opportunities to reduce the number of issues being slipped to
Customer.
 Review and share inputs / coach team members on the Test Cases, Test coverage and ensure the overall
Product Test Coverage.
 Actively explore on new technologies/tools/techniques that will enhance overall Product Quality, Test
Execution Efficiency, Overall Test Coverage with less manual efforts, Industry standard Test Methodologies
that can be leveraged /adapted to our Test cases, Effective mechanism to identify core issues of the
product, Increasing Customer Experience.
 Identify areas (Product/Technology/Training & Development, Process) and come up with Initiative that will
save overall cost ($) to the organization/create innovation culture with objective and associated
measurement
 Coaching / Mentoring Engineers to develop and guide them towards SMEs
 Identify opportunities to enhance or derive Process that would improve overall Quality / Test Coverage/
Customer Experience.
 Derive a mechanism to measure Team’s Productivity and Delivery via metrices.
