Requirements:

  • Curation, management, and documentation of large-scale clinical and claims datasets in the Truveta data environment, focusing on pregnancy exposures and maternal/perinatal outcomes.
  • Extract and transform structured electronic health record data using Python; construct pregnancy episodes and longitudinal exposure windows; develop reproducible analytic pipelines for cohort creation and outcome ascertainment.
  • Apply statistical modeling to evaluate associations between medication/clinical exposures and pregnancy outcomes; conduct sensitivity analyses.
  • Contribute to academic writing, including construction of figures and tables, summarizing findings, and documenting strengths and limitations of the approach.

Compensation Range:

$29.05 - $40.67

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.

Responsibilities:

This role is responsible for the curation, management, and analysis of large-scale clinical and claims data within the Truveta data environment, with a focus on pregnancy exposures and maternal and perinatal outcomes. Responsibilities include extracting and transforming structured electronic health record data using Python, constructing pregnancy episodes and longitudinal exposure windows, and developing reproducible analytic pipelines to support cohort creation and outcome ascertainment. The individual will apply statistical modeling to evaluate associations between medication and clinical exposures and pregnancy outcomes and conduct sensitivity analyses. Additionally, this individual will be responsible for contributing to academic writing including construction of tables, summarizing the findings, and understanding the relevant strengths and limitations of the approach.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Curate, manage, and document dataset, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, security, and compliance with all data governance requirements. Conduct thorough data cleaning and quality assurance to generate analysis-ready datasets suitable for advanced statistical modeling.
  • Implement and maintain reproducible analytic pipelines, including clear version control, code documentation, and structured note-taking to ensure transparency and repeatability of all analyses.
  • Collaborate closely with project leaders in developing and applying advanced analytical methods for statistical analysis of clinical research problems.
  • Contribute to scholarly products and other research-related duties as assigned, including drafting figures, tables, methods descriptions, abstracts, and manuscripts.


MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Math, Information Science or related field Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Informatics or a related field required.
  • 1 year of related experience or Or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • Experience working with clinical data including electronic health records (EHR), ideally the Truveta platform required.
  • Familiarity with large-scale data analysis and statistics required.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Proven experience in data analysis, with expertise in computational programming, including complex pipelines in python required.
  • Strong knowledge of databases management, such as SQL or similar required.
  • Experience working with large datasets in a healthcare or research environment required.
  • Understanding of sequence-related data and the value of accurate timing of data points preferred.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary research team required.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail required.
