Roles & Responsibilities

Requirements:

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable C#/.NET applications and services, including RESTful APIs and integration with React frontends
  • Design and optimize SQL Server database schemas, stored procedures, queries, data access layers, and implement data migrations and security
  • Develop frontend integration with React, build APIs optimized for React consumption, and troubleshoot integration issues
  • Participate in Agile processes, maintain unit/integration tests and documentation, contribute to CI/CD pipelines, provide production support, and mentor junior developers

Job Description :

This is a full-time remote position that can be located anywhere in the U.S.

Plans, designs, develops and tests software systems or applications using C# and SQL Server, with integration to React frontend components. Delivers high-quality code for software enhancements and new products.

Key Responsibilities:

C# Development & Architecture

  • Design and implement scalable, maintainable C# applications and services
  • Apply object-oriented design principles and patterns to create robust software solutions
  • Develop RESTful APIs and backend services to support web and mobile applications
  • Integrate with third-party systems and services via APIs and other integration methods
  • Work with team members to establish coding standards, best practices, and architectural guidelines
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure quality, maintainability, and adherence to standards

Database Development & SQL Server

  • Design and optimize database schemas, stored procedures, and queries for SQL Server
  • Implement data access layers and ORM implementations
  • Create and maintain database objects including tables, views, functions, stored procedures, and triggers
  • Optimize database performance through indexing, query tuning, and proper design
  • Develop data migration strategies and scripts for application updates
  • Implement proper security and data protection measures following best practices

Frontend Development and Integration (React)

  • Proficient in React UI development
  • Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate C# backend services with React components
  • Design and develop APIs optimized for React frontend consumption
  • Understand React component architecture to ensure efficient backend support
  • Assist with troubleshooting integration issues between frontend and backend systems
  • Stay current with modern web development practices and technologies

Development Operations & Quality

  • Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning and retrospectives
  • Write and maintain unit tests, integration tests, and documentation
  • Troubleshoot complex application issues across development and production environments
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipeline improvements for automated testing and deployment
  • Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and production support when needed
  • Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
  • Microsoft certifications are a plus
  • 5+ years of professional software development experience with C# and .NET Framework/Core
  • Strong knowledge of SQL Server including query optimization, stored procedures, and database design
  • Proficiency with ASP.NET MVC, Web API, and RESTful service development
  • Experience with Dapper or other ORM technologies
  • Proficient with React or similar modern JavaScript frameworks
  • Experience with GitHub Copilot or other AI development aids
  • Experience with version control systems (Git) and branching strategies
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing approaches
  • Familiarity with cloud services (AWS) is a plus

The expected base pay for this position ranges from $87,800 - $120,000 annually, and will be based on a number of additional factors including skills, experience, and education.
