Position:

A Private Advisor team within Rockefeller Global Family Office is seeking a seasoned and highly motivated professional to join its growing practice as Chief Operations Officer. This role is part of the team’s leadership and oversees building, improving, and expanding the business's operational infrastructure. The COO will oversee all foundational and operational functions, enabling the advisors and other team members to focus on delivering exceptional client service and driving long-term growth while ensuring efficiency, risk management, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the advisory team, including compliance coordination, client onboarding, workflow design, reporting, and vendor management
  • Serve as part of the management and leadership team
  • Assist with people development and management, including defining team roles, identifying opportunities for mentoring and developing team members, supporting hiring initiatives, assisting with performance management and executing new team onboarding support.
  • Develop recognition programs for the team
  • Design, implement, and continuously enhance systems and processes that support scalability, efficiency, and best-in-class operations
  • Help translate business objectives into operational execution as part of team leadership
  • Drive strategic initiatives and special projects, including new procedures, policy development, and technology implementation
  • Document, maintain, and evolve critical business processes to ensure consistency and continuity
  • Serve as a key liaison to Rockefeller home office partners and external vendors, building strong and effective working relationships
  • Lead efforts for clients to have smooth experience to access the RCM digital client platform and ensure all records are accurately maintained on that platform
  • Ensure the team remains current on internal and external technology advancements, champion adoption and ongoing education
  • Work closely with Rockefeller’s corporate compliance team to maintain regulatory standards, internal controls, and adherence to all applicable requirements
  • Success Metrics:
    • Develop and train operations team, build out as suitable for sustainable team growth
    • Sustained revenue growth and improved operating margins
    • Reduced operational friction and faster, more efficient client onboarding
    • Increased advisor leverage and time dedicated to client-facing activities
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or relevant professional certifications preferred
  • 5+ years of operational experience within financial services, wealth management, or a related professional services environment
  • Family Office experience preferred
  • Registered Series 7 & 66 (or 7, 65, 63) required
  • Demonstrated ability to scale a business and manage complex, multi-faceted operations
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and change-management capabilities
  • Working knowledge of CRM platforms, portfolio management systems, and compliance tools
Skills:
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and client service orientation
  • Highly detail-oriented with the ability to organize workflow with a strong sense of urgency and prioritize competing deadlines
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-intensity environment while managing multiple initiatives
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with eMoney financial planning software preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft D365 CRM preferred
  • Experience with Wealthscape/NFS platform preferred
Compensation Range:

The anticipated base salary range for this role is $65,000 to $115,000. Base salary for the role will depend on several factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience, and may fall outside of the range shown. In addition, this role may be eligible for other variable compensation programs.
