WordPress Developer - Beaver Builder (Africa)

About the Role:

We’re looking for a highly skilled WordPress Developer to design and deliver high-performing, mobile-first websites from end to end. In this role, you’ll build 3–5 custom WordPress sites per month, creating conversion-focused landing pages with strong UI/UX and clean, SEO-optimized structures.

You’ll work hands-on with tools like Beaver Builder and ActiveCampaign, embedding tracking scripts, optimizing site speed and performance, and ensuring every build meets modern technical SEO standards. Beyond new builds, you’ll maintain and improve existing client sites, troubleshoot issues quickly, and implement enhancements that drive measurable results.

This is a fast-paced, execution-focused role ideal for a detail-oriented individual contributor who takes ownership, communicates clearly, and thrives while managing multiple projects. You’ll collaborate via Slack, manage tasks in Notion, and work EST-aligned with a high-performance team.

Core Tasks:

• Design and develop custom WordPress sites end to end
• Deliver 3 to 5 high quality WordPress websites per month
• Build mobile first website layouts with strong UI and UX
• Create landing pages optimized for conversions
• Maintain and update existing client WordPress sites
• Implement on page SEO best practices for high site performance
• Embed and manage ActiveCampaign tracking scripts
• Troubleshoot WordPress issues and handle quick fixes
• Optimize site speed, structure, and mobile responsiveness
• Collaborate through Slack and manage tasks in Notion
• Assist with other client delivery and administrative tasks as needed

Must-Haves:

• 3+ years of professional WordPress development experience
• Hands on experience with the Beaver Builder plugin
• Strong UI and UX design skills for mobile first builds
• Ability to produce high quality sites on fast timelines
• Proficiency with page builders, themes, and custom code
• Experience setting up plugins, integrations, and automation
• Solid understanding of SEO structure and technical SEO
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Strong communication and ownership of deliverables
• Experience embedding tracking tools like ActiveCampaign
• Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to work quickly without sacrificing quality
• Demonstrated history working as an individual contributor with a high attention to detail
• Strong (C-level) written and verbal English communication skills
• Ability to work full-time EST aligned

Nice-to-Haves:

• Experience building sites for home services businesses
• Familiarity with Slack, Notion, and Gmail workflows
