Project Overview

In this role, you will join a high-impact team as a technical leader focused on architecting and scaling robust data ecosystems. You will be responsible for leading the design and implementation of end-to-end data pipelines that transform raw data into actionable insights. The project emphasizes high-level system architecture and seamless product delivery, requiring a lead who is comfortable navigating the intersection of complex data transformations and modern DevOps practices. As a Data Engineer (Tech-Lead), you will ensure our data infrastructure remains scalable, reliable, and production-ready.

Key Responsibilities

  • System Architecture: Design and architect high-quality data systems and pipelines using the latest industry standards.
  • Data Transformation: Lead the development of complex data models and transformations leveraging Snowflake and dbt.
  • Pipeline Orchestration: Design and implement efficient workflow automation layers using Apache Airflow for complex dependency handling.
  • Infrastructure & DevOps: Ensure environment consistency and deployment reliability by managing Docker, Kubernetes, and GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
  • Product Delivery: Take full ownership of the data product lifecycle, driving projects from initial inception through to successful production deployment.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide guidance and management to the team, ensuring best practices in Python, SQL, and Bash scripting are maintained across the codebase.

Must-Have Skills

  • Language Mastery: Advanced proficiency in Python, SQL, and Bash for complex data processing and scripting.
  • Data Stack Expertise: Deep experience with Snowflake as a primary data warehouse and dbt for robust transformations.
  • Orchestration Excellence: Hands-on experience with Apache Airflow for managing and monitoring sophisticated data workflows.
  • DevOps Proficiency: Practical knowledge of containerization and CI/CD tools, specifically Docker, Kubernetes, and GitLab.
  • Leadership Experience: A proven track record in System Architecture and Team Leadership/Management.
  • Fluent English: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for daily technical collaboration and leadership.

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Application UI: Experience building interactive data applications and dashboards using Streamlit.
  • Data Quality: Specific experience in building automated systems focused on data validation and quality generation.
  • Product Vision: Demonstrated ability to have shipped multiple data-centric products in a fast-paced environment.

Time Zone & Collaboration

This role is 100% remote from LATAM and requires consistent overlap with teams in Central Time (CT). Flexibility is expected to accommodate key ceremonies, stand-ups, and collaborative sessions within Central US business hours.
