  • Manage the lead allocation pipeline to the sales team daily and use commercial awareness to promote suitable solutions to potential clients

Sales Development Representative

Through this role, you will earn the potential to move into business development, foreign exchange dealing, or other opportunities, as many previous incumbents in this role have been promoted to Business Development Manager, Dealing, or Relationship Manager roles.  

 

  

The Role:

You will work closely with our Senior BDM’s to proactively identify and contact new prospects from multiple sources including databases, events, and partnerships to determine their requirements and arrange qualified appointments for our Senior BDM’s. 

This role is based in Convera’s modern Brisbane office, with the opportunity to work from home 2-3 days per week.

 

  • Confidence to make outbound calls to identify, qualify and set appointments for our Senior Business Development Managers 
  • Directly prospect new opportunities by using sales enablement tools such as Salesforce.com, ZoomInfo
  • Achieve Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) such as revenue and appointment setting targets 
  • Work closely with the Senior Business Development managers, Industry leads and Head of Sales to prospect new and existing contacts 
  • Manage the lead allocation pipeline to the sales team on a daily basis,  
  • Use commercial awareness to demonstrate and promote ideal solutions for potential clients. 

 

You should apply if you have:

  • We want you to have similar experiences in a sales role, ideally used to making outbound calls
  • We do not mind what industry you gained this experience – but we are especially keen if you have developed this experience within the financial services, recruitment, media, Insurance, telecoms or NFP industry sectors.
  • Knowledge of / experience working in B2B payments or FX is highly desirable
  • Strong organizational skills and effective time management 
  • Experience within Microsoft Office Suite and sales tools such as Salesforce would be advantageous.
  • Professional telephone manner
  • You are a resilient, motivated individual with a tenacious and competitive mindset to succeed.   
  • Many previous incumbents in this role at Convera have then been promoted to BDM, Dealing or Relationship Manager roles. We expect the same for you!
